Great video. Those bearings spin for DAYS. We used to soak our skate bearings in wd-40 once or twice a month - depending on how much skating we did.
@@TheKilgoth bro we used to soak em in gas. Not recommend lmfao.
@Scantron5k yeah. Heard that in the video. Gas would cut all the dirt and grime but would NOT make the bearings run "faster", or at least as fast as a lubricant.
@@TheKilgoth damn, I forgot I mentioned using gas in the video. Either way, it definitely worked when I was 15. Ha.
WD-40 was designed for NASA to remove (Water-Disbursement) condensation from liquid oxygen tanks and eliminate issues with the rocket fuel (diesel-liquid oxygen). It is 80% varsol with little oil added for lube? - rust prevention. It is not a lube but more like a penetrating/shedding solution. The varsol acts like a dirt cleaner to flush away particles. Wuff, wuff, when the gas fumes come in contact with an open flame or spark.Great in a garage with a Nat.Gas hot water tank.

Honestly, I wish I did. But the best video I have is the one that is linked in that description and it at least shows you the gist of how I installed it.
What is the ABEC rating of the stock bearings? Have you tried a higher ABEC rating to increase the spin?

Not the best idea for long term durability. They use grease to retain the lube in the bearing and last thing is to have the bearing go dry. There is no reservoir or bathing pump to lube the little balls. It will free up the movement but lube will drain out and leave little to none behind. The gas statement by others is a no-no as this acts as a solvent and evaporates in the end leaving nothing. A thinner grease or a drip of oil will free up the bearing. Using just oil - if you don't lube before each use, then you run the risk of the bearing going dry and wearing, bearing surface flat spots, wear of races/cages which would require early replacement.
Feels great in the short term but not durable. A dab of grease for longevity.
@@cbaxter6527 I mean, that's why I added one last drop of sewing machine oil after doing the soak.
@@Scantron5k Still run the risk of oil dripping out the bottom, should remove one seal and do a dab of grease to make a slurry with the oil. It will stay in a lot longer unless you plan to do alot of maintenance, drip oil into the cage/shield every few weeks. I know that bearings come packed supposedly on one side but like you said too much most time.
