Good question. Even the new videos with Nic seem to have a “old” filter over the video. Like it was recorded in the 90’s

Likely no unfortunately. The series was filmed at 480p using analog tech and there’s no way to get more detail out of that sadly. Older movies and shows that HAVE been remastered into 4k were filmed with actual film (frame-by-frame pictures) which can be upscaled bc it’s not limited by pixels

AI might provide a solution. If AI software had access to high resolution photos of Bob Ross, his art supplies, and the original paintings featured in the videos, it could use them as sources for pixel data.
It could also adjust the video to 16:9 aspect ratio by filling in the scene on the sides by capturing information from frames when the camera is zoomed out.
Not a best solution, but it would have real potential
