  • This video provides a comprehensive overview of all makeup and skincare products sold by Jones Road Beauty.
Jones Road was founded by the legendary makeup artist Bobbi Brown in 2020.
This video discusses the products in detail, with a particular focus on their appropriateness for women with mature skin, sensitive skin and/or dry skin.
The video was shot in natural light with a high-quality 4K camera, thereby allowing the true colors of the shades being demonstrated to be observed.
This is an unsponsored video, and I purchased all the products demonstrated myself.
More information on these products and other cleaner beauty products is provided on my website, called Living Clean in a Dirty World.

I wish they sold those tiny miracle balms in a sample set. Yes, we need a sample set. Nothing worse than paying money for wrong colors.

All of these companies that do not sell in stores should make samples available in the way that Kosas and Rituel de Fille do, in my opinion.

They do have a sample set of the miracle balms, you get to choose a few colors, but it's still a bit costly, but worth it. They have this sample set on sale now (they only offer this deal 1 to 2 times per year (but the deal is on now).

My skin is not quite as sensitive as yours, and I turn seventy later this year, so if there are any of your viewers in that demographic, here's another vote for how great these products are. 😀 I personally love the Oil Stick for my undereye area before applying the face pencils. Was the miracle balm the only JR product that caused you irritation? I just got some and unfortunately it also made my face feel itchy. What do you think is the best alternative to it? Thank you for your very informative video.

    • @lisapetrison-beautyreviews
      @lisapetrison-beautyreviews  Před rokem +3

There are several Jones Road products that have caused irritation for me, including the WTF foundation, the shimmer oil, the liquid eyeshadow, the eye pencil, and the mascara. And the Miracle Balms. I've mostly done okay with the skincare, but I can see how that would be irritating for some people too. I think the main issue here is that many of these products contain pretty high amounts of essential oils that are acting as preservatives, and that many people do experience irritation from the oils that were used.
I'm actually sympathetic to BB in terms of wanting to find a way to keep the products from spoiling, especially since she was investing her own money in the company. I do wish my skin would tolerate them better.
I have been looking hard for alternatives to the Miracle Balm for a while now. My favorites for a neutral look are the highlighting balms sold by MOB Beauty and Beautycounter, both of which were released in the past couple of months. I have not found either of those products to be irritating at all, and they have performed well for me.
For a more brightly colored balm that can serve as a blush, I suggest the color balms from Rituel de Fille.
I don't consider any of these to be a dupe for the JR product - they certainly have differrent ingredients. But they are pretty close functional equivalents, in my mind.
I am thinking that I am going to make another video on JR, called something like "Pros, Cons and good alternatives for every product that JR sells." So you may want to watch foe that one!
Thanks much for your nice comment. 💗

I think the key here is that this foundation has so many oils in it that it does not work well over either a silicone primer or a silicone sunscreen. I have not experimented to find out which sunscreens might be best, but I see in this article that Bobbi Brown brought up Supergoop Play, which does seem to have a lot less silicone in it than most sunscreens. It does have a lot of chemical sunscreens in it though, and so I would not feel comfortable with it myself. I would like to hear some more suggestions from folks too. Hello!! I am 35 and i absolutely love this brand. I have really dry skin and i love how moisturizing the JR products are. Particularly the foundation and the balms.I love a natural look and i like how quickly i can do my makeup with these products. Ive traded out most of my cosmetics for JR products. Ive introduced this like to my grandmother and my mother in law and the both have become hooked just like me haha i tell everyone about it 😊 i think the dusty rose shade in the powder bronzer would look great on you.

I'm interested in more specifics in terms of exactly what products you are talking about and what you think the "right" way to apply those products might be. ❤

Thank you for your review. I got my What The Foundation today in Porcelain, and the lip cheek in English Rose. They look very nice on my skin. I put on to the Au Natural Miracle Bomb on the dry areas before the foundation. Product is nice if your skin is dry as Lisa mentioned.

I really didn’t appreciate your comment, re: a nose jobs and her Jewish friends.

Hopefully we are at the point now where women do not feel like they need to be getting surgery to address the shape or size of their noses, and that they feel good about how their faces look naturally. Which always has been Bobbi Brown's message, and I totally agree with her on that.
