This is the most beautiful tribute to Cliff Burton since Trauma re-released Scratch And Scream with his original bass tracks. Given Cliff's love for classical music, metal he played and Lovecraft he read...this is the perfect embodiment of everything he stood for...and to finally be able to hear his roaring, out of this world bass in a brand new killer record...is stunning to say the least...i could recognise his unique tone and playing in an instant despite dropped tuning to G... The unmistakable overdriven bass tone, wah infused screams and dynamic playing style, perfectly evoking the cosmic horror this instrumental represented originally as it does now. I've been trying to get that isolated track as long as I can remember, even Flemming Rasmussen informed me that those are property of Metallica headquarters and he doesn't have them. You got it...and made a fantastic new take on an often overlooked Cliffs magnum opus(yes, not Orion) If there is any chance to release the entire isolated bass track to public, you would do the world a favour...but this is already beyond comprehension, all my hair stood up...whats more to say...THANK YOU APOCALYPTICA \m/ and rest in peace master Burton

Never even liked metallica but apocalyptica's instrumentals are such a burst of emotion, there's nothing like it. No cellist's as soulful as this. I'm proud to have called them my favorite band for the past 20 years
Metallica's instrumentals are pretty well written ngl. Even people who don't like metallica really enjoy the instrumentals or so ive heard. It makes sense tho, because the best ones had a lot of influence from Cliff Burton who had classical background.
