Nice projects especially your new Tshirt! I used Saona on 4 mm needles and a gauge 22 stiches. It worked out very well.

Thank you for your lovely comment! 😊 What pattern did you make with the Saona yarn?

I have the Joy 2 double treadle. Your spinning is a journey. After several years mine is not perfect. But as they say practice makes perfect.

Thank you so much for your comment! I have been spinning quite a lot during the last couple of days and I do seem to get a little bit better every time. It is just so much fun! I imagine it can be a very relaxing, even meditative experience once I truly get the hang of it.

Hi, Anika! Wonderful video, so many great things coming off your needles! And happy birthday early, congrats on getting your spinning wheel, and making your first skein of yarn! It looks amazing! One thing I would love to hear you talk about some day, if possible, is how you go about re-doing the math for an entire project based on your swatch’s “per inch/cm & row” gauge? I’ve only recently learned (from watching a Wool, Needles, Hands video) how to correctly choose the size in a pattern based on your own gauge swatch when it’s different than the recommended gauge. But I wouldn’t have a clue how to do what you do, and I would be interested to hear how you do it! Anyway, thanks for sharing your expertise with us!

Thank you so much for your detailed and lovely comment! Your feedback is very valuable for mee and I have already put the topic of modifying knitting patterns for a different yarn weight on my list of future video ideas. 🙂👍
In the meantime, you can have a look at a blog post I wrote that covers exactly this topic:

@@AnnikaScheer - Thanks very much for your blog post link, Annika! It was very interesting (a bit confusing at first until I realized that your math formulas were in metric format, but I figured it out! LOL!). I think I’m beginning to get the hang of it now. I’ll just need to do some experimenting with some of my patterns, do some yarn swatches, and then do some math! Should be a fun project! It’s been a while since I’ve done something like this, so it’ll be fun to do it again…! Looking forward to hearing you chat about it in a future video, though, and seeing how you put your expertise into practice! Thanks again!
