André Luiz Barbosa
I *felt* that too.
I THOUGHT THE TITLE SAID
ILLUSTRATING WITH FEET
AND I STARTED CHOKING-
Omar Abrahem IM FUVKIGND YELLIGNFN I CANNTKSHF
getting the mental picture is even worse
*Foot fetish has entered the chat*
Meeeee (the choking part lmfao)
Hmm your choking, thats a fetish
“it came together *sew* well” ;)
Indeed! I'm sure she felt proud 😊
Hey can't wait to see you animations in 2020!
Yeeter Parker thanks 💜kind excited but nervous
I'm sure I cant be the only one who pronounces SEW as SUE.
I am the only one huh?
Lolololo
Is confirmed, Kasey is a grandma
Artur Giardina Kasey would be the best grandma.
A bloodthirsty grandma
Artur Giardina the grandma I never had
Well, she would be a ARTSY grandma for that matter.
Wow, thank you for the likes, guys
I have felt this coming
*Golf Clap*
Badumptum
But have you ever watched Lilo and STITCH?
Get out
@@cleminations Yeah and I love that movie, I truly really felt it. It was sew good!
This whole time I kept thinking that the astronaut's nose was the eye and their eyes were nostrils. I feel very stupid.
Laila Coleman Don’t feel bad, I saw it for the loooongest time 😅. The alien on the lower left kinda made it seem like an eye. The bear eye placement adds to it.
I thought that until I saw your comment lmao 🤣 😆
Oof same until she said bear I was like...... OH MA GOURD
Now I can’t unsee......
Same
As someone who does embroidery and art in hoops like this, it's so fun to watch. You should put the fabric in the hoop first and then sew everything on. When you embroider, you work on the hoop, I think that would have helped you out a little bit here. Instead of using the tape, you can pin the pieces on and have everything stay put a little bit easier.
Thanks for the tips! I’m gonna use them if I ever do this :-)
Also Kasey said she thought the hoops were for needle felting but 2d needle felting would be hard. To do on a hoop because you need a flat pourus surface for the needle to sink into. Doing it on a fabric suspended in a hoop would be terribly difficult.
@@strayiggytv when you have a setup where you have space behind it it probably wouldn't be that hard to needle felt in an embroidery hoop. Would be very fuzzy underneath, but that can be fixed easily.
Rhys Aitken
Exactly what I was thinking while watching this
@@strayiggytv she corrected herself in editing though
It took me like 4 actual minutes to figure out what was going on with the astronaut's face in the second one, lol. I thought the bear's nose was a huge eyeball.
I misread this and saw “illustrating what I felt”
Honestly, thats ALL i draw lmao
Same, i thought this was going to some rant??
I do that already!
I read it as "illustrating with feet" and I was so confused
'Illuminati with felt'
YOU GAVE ME THE BEST IDEA I'VE EVER HAD. I love sewing decorations and clothes and I love drawing... So I can made the mid chest panel of a dess like this and make the other panels in bright corresponding colours of a different (but still stiff) fabric. THAT'S GONNA BE FRICKING AWESOME THANK YOU SO MUCH I LOVE YOU💛
Ahhh, have fun!!
Sounds dope
I thought about that! When she did the large peice I'm like that illustration would be so dope if you put that on the back of a jacket. Please keep us updated on if you do this project because I might join in on the fun!!!
Your felting videos inspired me to make a felt rose to put on the bag I made to hold my grandmother's Christmas present(some mango tea, if you were curious). I love your art!
She's going to love the rose just as much as the gift itself!
This is so wholesome and I love it
i'd really like to know the backstories behind dennis and hatch! or maybe just how you came up with their designs!
I'm afraid I don't have the original sketches and designs, but I'd love to show what I DO have and talk about them (Owlina, too)!
@@KaseyTheGolden cool! looking forward to it! ☺️
@@KaseyTheGolden Yes definitely, I'd love to see that!
@@KaseyTheGolden please please do!
Yay!! I’m excited for that video when it comes. I’ve thought that for a while myself 💕🥰
The colour coded tomato pin cushion thing in the intro gives me peace
Skyla Tran do you even sew if you dont have the tomato pin cushion? no one buys them... they just appear
@@mintytoasted yea like i have three and a cactus one and i dont remember buying them?????
Minty Toast OH MY GOSH, YES, THATS SO FRICKING TRUE
Minty Toast Ikr! Almost every sewing kit has one! Even the cheapest of the cheap.
I LOVE the big one. I once made a 3D guitar with felt and a popsicle stick for the neck, beads for knobs and silver thread for strings. Gave it to my boyfriend in high school. It was stuffed.
That sounds adorable!
I love the big landscape “illustration”. You have such an eye for colour, Kasey, and the balance between simplicity and detail is so good!
When she said “let’s get to cutting, and measuring, and umm doing things” I *felt* that
Thea Sings *Amazing.* ;w;
The grand canyon style thing would probably be considered a ravine, and the style of art this is would most likely be classed as applique (sewing fabrics together to make one big piece)
My favorite part of all of these is how amazing that canyon looks. I love the depth the last one has between the canyon and the fading mountains.
Felt appliqué I guess it would be. Super cute!!
"Kasey, why did you make this video?"
*"Beacuse I felt like it."*
It was so neat to watch someone discover appliqué embroidery without ever having heard of it before or even knowing what it's called. Very cute video!
Honestly kasey can draw with ANYTHING!!
I've gotten into felt thanks to you, because at first I thought it was an old ladies thing, but when i found your works, i realized the possibilities are endless and that it is super fun! Now i'm questioning, are you actually cutting all the stuff without drawing a guideline on the felt? Because that's true commitment and I envy your skills! All the parts look so round and perfect! Loved all of them, great job! ^^
Nobody-
Literally nobody-
Kasey- it looks just like a space!
The third one I like how the way the cactuses in the desert is like so pretty with the Blue Mountains the illustration is really good and I like it it's artistic✌
I just started making my own little felt ornaments for mine and my boyfriends tree. I love seeing what you do with felt
14:23 "Ouch this hurts why am I hugging a cactus?!"
😆💕
They are all so nice I also love denis :3 he also really reminds me of Totoro
this inspires me to try something new in regards to art :3
*When she said, "Can I illustrate with felt?"*
.
.
.
.
*I felt that.*
Haha
When you started talking about learning the french knot I for sure thought it was gonna be a skillshare sponsor vid!
Ravine was my first thought, so I googled it! It depends on size! Ravines are smallest, then gorge, and biggest is a canyon! I guess it's similar to hills versus mountains, eh? Though I guess sometimes it depends on if there's a river inside it and how wide... there's too many elements! Haha.
I *FELT* like we need a part 2!! It might come out *SEW* great
I’d love to see you try proper embroidery art. I’ve seen some portraits done with embroidery and I think you could pull off something really cool
i FELT that this video was going to be good SEW i clicked on it
Every other CZcamsr: shameless plug
Kasey: shameful plug
😂😂😂
You need to get yourself some fusible interfacing so you just iron them together first and then do the sewing . Its like fabric glue that you iron between two fabrics. My mum emailed me a photo of a fabric collage I made for my dad like over thirty years ago. Love this will have to do this with my daughter
You illustrating a book with felt would be the cutest thing ever
This is called appliqué. Cute!
I take art, craft, design a level which includes textiles so this is my jammm!! 💜
Adored the little portraits of Dennis, so excited for my plushie to come in! I would absolutely love for there to be a hatch plush - I think he's so stinkin' cute!
Embroidery floss✔
Embroidery hoop✔
French knots✔
I would definetly call it embroidery, and beautiful too!!!!
Having a mental breakdown is weird
like one minute I'd be thinking about how much kasey has helped me with putting an end to my art block, trying out new drawing mediums, discovering my art style and most importantly getting more comfortable with my own body
Then a minute later I'm sobbing on the floor because I realised that the reason I used to be scared of my body is deeply rooted in the way I was raised and I have a much bigger problem to deal with
And after an hour of crying my truma out I just find myself drinking a family sized bottle of flat soda at like 1 am because I need to recover the moisture I just lost from having a venting session with myself
I’m impressed Kasey I’ve cross stitched for 20+ years and still can only do a colonial knot I’ve never mastered a french knot 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You should really make more videos like this! This was fun to watch, and your sewing skills are amazing.
Cant pick a favorite, they are all sew amazing
They’re* but still pretty good pun haha
@@ello-olle Thanks. Corrected it :)
I have been doing so many felt crafts the past few days! So glad you posted this!!!
The largest is my favorite but...I think they are all amazing. this is such a unique type of art and I think you did an amazing job ten out of ten would love another video like this
I love it when u add the little clear stuff, or extra stuff that would not normally go with felt and sewing. Please do more of that!
this was so cute to watch, good job!!
*I have big sausage fingers* Me:...at least they don’t taste like them...
⭐️Omg i want a Dennis plush now!⭐️
I love this!!!!! You should try needle felting!
I think my brain just stopped working after seeing the raw talent in this video.
Kasey, if you are curious, the sewing technique you did in this video is called appliqué. :) I would consider some of it embroidery, too, since you added detail work with a few embroidery stitches. Anywho, they all turned out great! I love the cute little helmet you made for the astronaut. :)
You are a magician. You can turn any painting into a painting. Our children especially like to do these things by hand.
Did you know guacamole is higly poisonous for hamsters ?
dont ask how i know-
Sofi D *softly* _nooooooo_
Sofi D
avocado is poisonous to most animals by itself so yea-
*sobs.*
I so sad
If I were a hamster I would just eat my guacamole and die I guess
I like the illustration with the bear the most, it‘s just so cute!
“Once he’s gone, he’s gone.”
Me: I’m never going to be able to get anything March related am I?
Have you ever tried crocheting!!! It's so cool. As a crocheter!! I think you'll like it!!! AND I NEE THAT PLUSHIE!!!
Oh my
Thats awesome
The colour combinations are soo good!
These are wonderful. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
I desperately want more felt illustration videos, this was an absolute delight
Usually wallets don’t talk yet when I went to order a Denis plushie my wallet shouted “YOUR BROKE”
The moon is shaped like a bear in the medium one!! Kasey! It is illegal to be that cute!!
They all look amazing, well done Kasey!
I definitely expected some needle felting, but this also worked so well!!
Heckkkk!!!!! These are some of my favorite things you've ever done!!!!! I've been following for years and, you just keep enchanting me more
Alternate intro: Dont ya just hate it when your playing with felt and you accidently glue some on the page? looks like were illustrating with felt!
I loved this! You should definitely do more of these in the future!
These are adorable! I love the space one, so cute.
SoI used to love bright colors but I started watching your videos and recently I went to the store to get felt and I was like "I don't like those ones, I want the earthy green and red"
You have changed me, Kasey
Love the big hoop! It has so much detail, feels like you had the most fun too :)
THIS IS AMAZING. I have been wanting to sew or do soft sculpture to show illustration for my BFA project for my senior year and no one believed me that it could be done!
You should totally do more of these! They are all awesome!
This is my favorite medium for your art style. It looks so great, you really made felt work!!
The medium one, was the best, the details, and the stars are amazingly awesome!
Ahhhhhhh these look so so soo good!!! I love you Kasey your artwork always looks so good I think the Space illustration is my favorite also the Denis plushie looks super cute love you so much Kasey
How cute Kasey. Love your ideas. I like them all,the cactus is my favorite.
The Dennis plush will be my art buddy on my art desk when I get him. Dennis as a portrait is adorable. This is a great idea.
Please make more, this was amazing! 😍 my fave was the last one! 🙌🏼
Cannot get enough of Kasey‘s felt work! So inspiring!!
I want to see more of these! This was so cool.
I LOVE this! It's so creative and makes me excited to try out something like this myself!
I really LOVE this idea! You’ve done such a wonderful job (as always) will all of them. The last is my favourite, but honestly I love them all.
The fact that you pay so much attention to your channel and comments/subs is amazinggg
I love it!!! Just have 3 videos myself and doing paintings and drawings for now, but hopefully one day I can expand to other materials like you! Very inspirational Kasey! You're so talented!
i also tried slime, and for some weird reason i would find flowers at- anywhere when i was little then i would make art with the flowers
:3
I genuinely love all of these felt craft videos so much :)
I love them all so much, you are so talented and have sooo much patience. I loved the modification you did to the last one, the initial sketch was really cute, but I think the final illustration fits better with the other ones.
I actually think the pieces of tape you used are ingenious because they bend as you bend the piece when you're sewing AND you don't get poked by a million billion needles! Wtg!
All the work on the last one was 10000000000% worth it, it is so good!
I love crafty Kasey! Makes me want to try my hand at sewing... might be my resolution for New Years!
Thank you I am inspired to make ornaments from felt now! I love your channel so much!
omg thank you so much for this video, it's inspired me to do one myself and gotten out of a long long art block!
Kasey you are so inspiring. This is so entirely unique and beautiful, you have such an incredible artistic mind and you inspire me with every video! I love the felt videos you put out so much. 😊💕🌷
WOAH I need to try this!!
Great video as always :)
It looks so amazing. I never saw this before, but it is such a cute idea :) I think the huge desert one, with all the details is the best, but they are all adorable! I love them all :D
With the last one you should make it a pillow. You could just cut out the same size piece of felt in white and sew the two together, and stuff it with fluffy stuff! If you do, post a photo of it on youtube!
On a really really clear day you can see mountains in three directions from my city and Ive always wanted to draw something like that but Idk what the perspective would have to look like. Like a fish eye lens or a panorama or what. Anyway we have more oak trees than cacti but this really reminds me of the feeling I get looking at the sky after the rains gone and you can see Yosemite’s soft white peaks
