High as a kite - World's best show off tricks and flips at incredible heights | Extreme Sports

It was the first Twin-Tip Big-Air Kite event of the Qatar Airways GKA Kite World Tour 2024 which took place in Le Barcares, France.
The sixth edition of the Lords of Tram hosted 24 men and 12 women in the opening round of the GKA Big-Air Kite World Championship title race.
The event is named after the famously strong Tramontana winds that blow down from the Pyrenees over the shallow waters of the Barcares lagoon.
The Dutch duo of Pippa van Iersel and Jamie Overbeek took the women's and men's titles with dominant performances.
In the men's competition, Dutch teenager Jame Overbeek showed confidence right from the start and took his first World Cup win with a huge 9.53 and finished with a 9.07.
In the women's competition, Overbeek's compatriot Pippa van Iersel made a strong comeback after two years out with an injury to take the win.
Her riding and tricks were undoubtedly above her rivals, and she scored an 8.77 with a Kite-loop Back-Roll.
