Can you please tell me whether a single photon is incident on the superconducting nanowires or a stream of photons fall on the nanowires for parallel nanowires setup?????
Thank your for your question. Both scenarios can happen, it depends on the signal intensity falling to the detector. These nanowire detectors were originally developed for real single-photon counting. The second half of Xiaolong Hu's presentation deals with detectors for multi-photon counting.

@@PicoQuant Ok I will definitely do if I require. But my question is if a stream of photons is allowed to fall over the nanowires , are the nanowires absorbing only one photon out of the stream and if yes then how????
Please explain
