    In this talk Aldon Morris discusses evidence from his book, The Scholar Denied, showing Du Bois, an influential 20th century black scholar, was the founding father of modern scientific sociology.
    Aldon Morris is the Leon Forrest Professor of Sociology and African and American Studies, Northwestern University.
    Nigel Dodd (@nigelbdodd) is a Professor of Sociology at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and Editor-in-Chief of the British Journal of Sociology.

    @34:00 alright....web dubois is one of my heroes and I have, so far, loved listening to this lecture.
    But. The Chicago School and Jane Addams did AMAZING work. Look it up. So...DuBois was first. Sure. He was. But... bravo to The Chicago School!

      Also... study DuBois!! He'll change you're ability to feel good about humanity...or at least... your effort to be positive.
      But also study his struggles. Powerful. His relationship with Marcus Garvey.... which informed his criteria critiques of himself.
      Study is good!
