KMT (song 4): "Peach Street Blues" by Andy Hood

In June of 2024, my family went on a mission trip with our church to Wheelwright Kentucky. Wheelwright was a company town of Inland Steel developed to support the coal mining industry. It was one time one of the top five places to live in the United States. Today, the mines have all but shut down and left this area impoverished. The whole story of the people of this region really got to me. These songs were inspired by that trip. This song was inspired by the photograph in the background of this video. Peach Street was the road in which we walked up to the closed mine on. The last song of this series, It is meant to be hopeful with the thought of as long as the two of them are together that's all they need.
