Again, a very impressive and honest review. We had purchased Singer Food Processor (Lady Chef), almost 12 years back and we loved to use it as it was very efficient. We thought of buying a new food processor as Singer was a medium sized food processor. After going through many videos and other sources., we bought Usha 3811, almost 2 years back. I must say it is an excellent food processor. Keema mince which used to take 20 odd minutes in Singer, take hardly 2 minutes. It's all other attachments are also very good. I remember that its Juicer attachment was found to be broken. We refereed the matter to the company and within 5 days we got a new replacement. No doubt, Usha is the market leader in food processor.

1. I face issue with the Chutney jar of my Philips mixer where the Chutney or tomato gravy spills outside. Does Usha Chutney jar lid is tight enough for this type of issue
2. Which brand gives the jars with clips to tighten the lid? How important is this feature in your view
3. Do you have to hold your Usha jar all the time while you are grinding or blending or you can keep the mixer on and do some small activities in parallel?

Hi! I'm planning a new video on Mixer Grinder separately (This one was for food processors). But to answer your question - yes, the Usha lid is tight enough but does not have lock. If you want lock, I saw this one has locks for the chutney jar amzn.to/3Ooa7gq which can be useful. Yes, have to hold for Usha as the 2 main jars that I use do not have locks. It's not a challenge for me as I do short runs only of the mixer. But I can see why that will be a plus :) Yes, I'll be adding Atomberg in the new mixer grinder analysis.

Finding a food processor for making hummus only.
For small batches, you can use a mixer grinder itself to get a nice fine finish. But if you are making large batches, yes use a food processor. Yes this amzn.to/3ipNFH8 is good for it

I’m hoping to buy a food processor (standalone) with the ability to cut veg into cubes because our cooking style of curries does not use chopped veg or gravy. From this video I understand there’s only one model and knowing me, it turns out to be the most expensive one! Are there any other options for dicing and cubing without adding another gadget to my already impressive hoard? My hands don’t do well with manual dicers. Thank you

Hey Soumya, fp on list from many days... Among Bajaj fx1000 ,usha fp 3811 and Preethi cosmo ...which one you rec given budget is not concern... Usha fp does not come with dicing I know that and Cosmo has..
Apart from this feat, what other feats in Cosmo with that huge price ? Also when I visited store observed usha doesn't have medium grating like how we make for palya, blade either fine or big grating.
And also Bajaj has adjustable slicing blade.

I have the same Usha one. Using it for more than a year now and it is working flawlessly for me. Noise level is also important to me and I found it relatively less noisy compared to the Phillips one I had in the past.

I bought the Usha one couple of months back after extensive research. It works well. Unfortunately, couple of draw backs.
The round dial is hard to use with wet hands. I would prefer the usual cursor type dial as in other mixies.
The silver body of the processor has started to rust for me. ☹️

Soumya ... As usual great comparision... Usha FP 3811 doesn come with French fry cutting where 3810 has right. Wondering why you haven't considered Croma FP with almost all functionalities and very reasonable price.

Can also make larger quantities. It preserves ingredient quality and flavor. But does occupy more space in the kitchen. Mixer grinder can get you the same done upto 80-90% consistency.

Isn't there a model available on the market which has all the functionalities including Dicing and coconut scraping ? You have mentioned Rico which has scraping but misses dicing. You mention that Preethi Zodiac Cosmo has everything except Coconut scraping. If there is a model which is not on your list but has all functionalities, kindly share the name and model number. We r 2 retired ppl . Bought Usha 3811 n using since last 1 yr.
Steel blades coconut grater n most imp disk holding blades r plus plus points. All other fp have either plastic disk n the pieces residue falls down through the gap between disk n main bowl. It’s very difficult to collect the pieces
So usha has no this problem. But mixer part of Usha is hopless. Grater blade is too thin but ok for parathas not for gajar halava. Coconut grater is super
So go for Usha

Reviews for inalsa food processor without mixer grinder are very bad. The bowl is not unbreakable which is a big minus point.
Hi Vibha, thanks for sharing! I did take a look at that. The material used is same as the fp+mixer. And in both cases there are some people who have complained about it but majority are good with it.
