I don't get it? How could ANYONE not LIKE this group! The trumpeting was outstanding: Beautiful phrasing, technique was perfect, and the tone was broad and sweet-sounding. This was a brilliant performance!
Your remarks suggest to me that you also can do A BIT on trumpet. Only a muso can describe somebody else's work so accurately. Takes a good player to know a good player! There's no jealousy.. Just professional appreciation! Good Luck Bill... M.O.Link.
I am in absolute tears over the skills of the band and Vlado in particular...and I am a mere saxophonist! I first found him (V) at a Schagerle festival, as an unrehearsed guest with Mnozil Brass. They also play the most astounding stuff without written music. It was hard to work out how to decide who enjoyed each other the more, Vlado or Mnozil. M.Brass obviously held him in very high regard as well they might. They all got great fun out of the fact that Vlado quickly picked up by ear on what they were doing, got some laughs out of his mistakes and were utterly impressed by his stunning, impromptu, unwritten high notes! The accurate freedom within the arrangement was jazz-like and very impressive. I think of it (and view the CZcams clip) often! Will now search for more of this A1 trumpeter who so enjoys his music!
Hey! Are you Paul Mark, trumpeter and Band-leader of the "Payday Loons"...Merseyside...? If so..unravel my mauriat user name as I am in your email address book. If not, it's just a coincidence that I know a brass player with the same name.. He may be Marks and not Mark. Sorry and best wishes if I goofed! If you are the right guy, I look forward to blowing with you for a couple of coming Tuesdays at the boozer in Parkgate next week and the one after.. Keep up the good work...To a Scouser from a Manc.
Pin point accuracy, velvet sound, perfect tune up... Go KUMPANOVI!...
