MR2 is echt mijn droom auto, in het dorp waar ik woon staat er soms een rode NA van 1992 of 93 (not sure) maar ik heb nog nooit een ride-along gehad of zelf met 1 gereden. Staat 100% op mijn to-do list deze zomer ;) Groeten van een landgenoot!
Ja het is een zeer mooie wagen, die van mij is nog een "work in progress" 😅 Zeker de moeite waard en vooral bij deze wagen 😋

@@mhbuilds Ik ben van Brecht (in Antwerpen). De persoon met de MR2 is een oudere man die hier elke week zijn moeder komt bezoeken, ik wil niet zomaar aanbellen en zo voor een ritje vragen maar eerder wachten tot ik hem buiten eens tegenkom.
Ik heb hem vorig jaar al eens gevraagd of hij hem wilde verkopen maar dat zag hij toen nog niet zitten, hier bij zijn moeder staat nog wel een oude (zeer mooie) mercedes die hij eigenlijk wel zou kunnen gebruiken mocht hij de MR2 verkopen maarja, ik zou ook niet zo een prachtige auto willen verkopen 😬
@@Matt-dd1zr Ja dat is niet achter de hoek 😅 In zo een situatie kan ja inderdaad niet gewoon aanbellen. Een wagen verkopen als je er aan gehecht bent is nooit makkelijk :p
Zo een oude mercedes kan ook wel zeer mooi zijn als die goed onderhouden is. Maar die wagen houden ze misschien als collector dan. Wie zal het weten 🤷♂️

I wish my 91 looks that good, but it needs a rebuild, new paint, I haven't drove it for 12 years.
Rebuild is always nice in my opinion. You can do whatever you want and start form zero.

What kind of side skirts are those? Staggered wheels? Painted or wrapped? Great looking car. Very clean. Love the stock look of these cars lowered a few inches. I recommend a snorkel and trashing those little plastic air funnels on the side intakes for more "intake sound" but that's my personal preference for my own car.
I don't know, I can ask the owner if you want ? If I remember correctly the wheels are staggered but im asking the owner next week. Its paint but its very clean. Yes his cars is very well build and there are also some personal preferences that I wouldn't do but its his car haha :p I recently bought my own and i'm going to film the process with that one so you can always follow it if you want. Tips and tricks are always welcome ;)

Tips and tricks depends on where you live. Facebook groups are great for information and cheep parts. The MR2 community is part of why I bought mine. Mostly really cool nice people that are happy to help you out. PrimeMR2.com / MR2heaven.com are the best state side part distributors I've found.
Get a stand alone boost gauge. Stock boost gauge literally has no numbers on it and only goes to 11lbs. Temp is super important on sw20s. Let the car warm up before driving and cool down for a couple minutes after. Maybe a turbo timer if you like em.
Personal preference get a fuel cut defender + manual boost controller. stock gasket on a gen 2 3sgte can take a good 1.2 bar or 16lbs. Full 3' downpipe, exhaust and a vintage bov(I run a MK3 supra bov from HKS that is discontented. find em for 100$ on etsy or ebay) will make the car sound WAY better as well. Car will do well under 6sec 0-60 with those mods. Have fun.

@@ipie13579 I live in Belgium so not ideal for modifications. Yes I already met a couple of nice people in the community so that's always nice. If I can't find them close I will order parts on those sites. Thanks for the plug.
The thing is I have a n/a so no turbo YET. I plan on swapping once I have fixed up the rest of the car, this way I can start with a base that is pretty good. Your tips will come in handy later on. Thanks man ;)
