Ya $2500 for a trip downtown.
Disneyworld needs this from the Airport to Disney. At one time there was an airstip at Disney.
Or Disney could relocate ...
@@321gates Go to North Carolina where Southern Babtists will say no to everything.
@@Patrick-yh5yd Or Disney could stop with the far Left activism and focus on their customers. Nice attempt, though, to portray the country's negative reaction to wokeness as Bible Belt driven. Hate to break it to you chief, but you're in the minority and AH, Target and Disney stocks prove it. Not to mention all of the liberal celebrities who have also denounced the Left's woke agenda. But, you believe what you want.
It looks like a big drone because that is exactly what it is. This whole idea is a pipe dream. Nothing is infallible and unlike helicopters or airplanes that can glide if the engines fail, this Volocopter thing has electric motors and can't autorotate like a helicopter. This will be "the future" until they start falling out of the sky.
Emergency parachute system?
You seriously think humans are incapable of coming up with safety failsafe systems? We strap human beings to bottle rockets and shoot them into space... people thought the same way you did when the first rocket was ever built... and look where we are today.
They said if you were to go over 60 miles per hour they thought you might enter into a time warp or sorts traveling at one mile per minute, something a horse wasn't able to do but human made machines called horseless carriages could potentially achieve.
They said flying contraptions would never be realistic in the early 1900's, as they were too dangerous and weather stopped them from flying.
They said flying faster than the speed of sound would not be possible and was too dangerous, because the controls reversed for some reason and the aircraft tended to break up.
They said people shouldn't worry about going into space on rocket ships, because it's too dangerous too expensive, and there wasn't any benefit.
These new flight systems have triple redundant controls. They can fly without any issue if a couple engines fail. The autopilot control system flys better than a human can and can handle the engine failure possibility in less than 1/4 of one second.
If an engine fails on a helicopter, all you have is the hope that you 'might' be able to autorotate if you have the altitude to do it and are proficient in the procedure, of which many pilots aren't, and the statistics of this maneuver being performed perfectly every time are less than the redundancy failure potential on this new craft by more than 100 times.
Multiple companies are working on a number of variants of these new vehicles. They will, without question, be flying in the skies in the next few years. Some will create amazing opportunities for themselves using them. Some won't.
Let's go Tampa..
Better batteries, affordabilty, charging stations ... sounds like more EV pipe dreaming.
Awesome
How much will cost for?
When a video comes out of a nice couple who are trapped in this thing, screaming all the way as it heads out into the gulf of mexico, that'll be the end of it. Anyone want to go for a ride in a personal submarine? I didn't think so
There will be tragedies but it's a necessity when launching a new exciting venture, especially that involves transport of humans. Godspeed
I guess we'll start hearing the term "Fly Bys" in the near future
El que invento el primer dron es como el que invento la rueda jajajaja
It's definitely a large drone. 🤔
"The future of public transportation" is trains. Full stop
You people are obsessed, and why I and others cancelled our subscriptions to SkyScraperCity.
200 year old technology? Don’t be so conservative
What could go wrong?
They run on lipo batteries and the airlines don’t allow lipos on planes because they catch fire easily! Don’t make sense !
Great idea if ya wanna put your life at risk for convenience. It’ll be popular as all hell.
Won't that complicate things for ATC?
The way the flying public behaves lately, I wouldn’t get near one of these things. Look at the problems Uber and Lyft drivers face daily. The tech is cool, but when prices make it affordable, look out for the lunatics.
Multi passenger trains
lets prove that electric is not the answer
The FAA will hold it back until ample competition arrives.
No, traffic is safer.
I saw the Chinese model,ours chop heads,theirs chop legs.😎🌴🐊
There other designs of craft some big enough that carry 3 passengers & yeah that is a drone!
It will be for the rich not the poor. Just another reason that proves how the rich get richer and the poor get poorer!
Balls
What would Kobe Bryant think if......?
No one is going to be able to afford to commute in this. Since inflation has continued to get worse I don’t know how they figure this will be possible. My personal opinion. That about sums up my thoughts on this. Cool looking ride though
Sounds lame, thanks Eric ! 😂
I’ll let the first 100 crashes work itself out before I give it a drive
Like the brightline Train. People are dying.
If it can pick people up from their houses and the price is even somewhat reasonable, they'll make billions.
Just as EV's are not affordable or practical for most people, the cost of a commute on one of these will not be either. Also, it will not be picking you up at your home. It would require docking stations for boarding and charging.
@@321gates If for some reason they could not land at someone's house and pick them up, then they won't make nearly as much.
@@EGarrett01 I'm telling you that they can't. The FAA would never allow it. You can't land a helicopter in a neighborhood. Plus they said in the video that it would require docking sites around the city.
@@321gates It's not a helicopter, it's a large drone.
@@EGarrett01 Whatever.
Made In America or China?
Maybe instead of making toys for rich people to enjoy, build better homes for the homeless that cant afford rent because greed and people that are never satisfied just want more garbage and than blame poor people for it. No thanks
Sounds like a sound buisiness plan. Make things for people who dont have any money. You should invest everything you have into this and go for it! Live your dream!
