- Toronto Maple Leafs rookie Mitch Marner takes a tumble and goes hard into the boards, he would try to tough it out, but looked like he was in some discomfort and would eventually leave the game in the 3rd.

He's a tough cookie though. Gets hit almost every game, blocks shots (the other day he took one right to the chest and stayed on the ice for the rest of his shift) but it seems like he gets more pumped up because of it. Hopefully he's just sore and will be back soon.
- Credit Marner for trying to play through but gotta shut him down in case it's anything a bit more serious.

1 game vs the rest of the season/career... you don't want to aggravate an injury that could cause lingering issues for the rest of the season/his career... he's a young player, and a very important piece for the Leafs going forward as they try and get into the playoffs, it was pretty evident that he was not 100% and was clearly more prone to aggravating it more.
This is the worst time possible for Marner to get injured for us.
With the luck that the leafs have Marner will be out for the rest of the season

Don't get me wrong, Marner's my favorite player, but him crashing into the boards was his own fault.
This guy instead of making a Hockey play and even making contact, he tries to go for the puck, maybe get a fast break and he ends up in the boards, These new NHL kids are soft as butter, bring back guys who weren't scared laying bodies to make a good hockey play
