    Query: Do he cinemas of other countries also create "consensus narratives" for their societies?

      Earlier in the course he talks about Battleship Potemkin from the USSR being about the founding of the Soviet Union so I'd say yeah

      RossingtonMichael so, not only does he compile the information, discern what is relevant to the thesis of his lecture, derive from that research a larger idea which he then conveys through his multifaceted lecture by talking passionately about it- but he has to worry about how YOU absorb information to the extent of changing his natural demeanor and personality while doing all of the above? I know internet has made a habit of using media to do your thinking FOR you in most cases- but maybe some of the work is on you to do as the one who wishes to gain the information he has?
