Thank you for this. It's a big help. I'm sorry the introduction of chord mode is only 20 seconds, no indication how you set up b min as the chord or the basic layout.

No but for real I haven’t even finished the video and you’ve already given me a better understanding on how to use this thing

How did you get your drum layout to stay lit up after you put sounds on them? Mine are blank or I can get them to be random. I'd like my buttons to stay lit up after a sound is on them. Any help is appreciated

how are you pressing that red button to get it to overdub? when i do it it starts a new loop on the slot below it instead of overdubbing

Can this be used to record audio clips from a PC to store and play back in a podcast?

Yes you can, it’s pretty easy to do. It took me a long time to figure out until I slowly started figuring out ableton as I’m coming from studio one. Download all the sound effects/drops / audio clips into a folder, make sure they’re mp3, I think wav format works. But I use ableton as my sound board and record my shows in OBS.

So incredibly overwhelming. I think this was a good tutorial, my musical background stopped at high school band like a decade ago though lol so all I know is “sheet music says this, play this”. Do you have a degree in music theory/how did you learn all this info that goes behind creating music in the first place? If you asked me to put chords together or create a melody I’d be lost, much less doing it on this. I wanted to buy one but think I’d just be out of my element, makes me appreciate the pros that much more though!!!

When you playback a beat you created in the drum rack, I wish the pads on X lit up for each drum hit, so that we can easier figure out which sound correspond to which pad. Is that possible?

possible using the launchpad95 script i believe

Ableton/Ableton lite. It's easy to use once you get your head around it (in other words watch tutorials they'll save you I promise) and If you've also bought a launchpad, connect it to your laptop/pc and if you have chrome open there should be a little pop up tab that comes. click it. They'll ask you to make an account so they can keep track of your devices. once you've got that head to "my software" and you should get a code for ableton lite. as for downloading it, I just went to "download ableton lite" on google which worked just fine for me.
if you have any other questions please let me know :)
