Trickstab Tutorial (StairStab and DropStab)

- G'day all MrPaladin here.
I did a video in this series that concentrated on the Corner and the Matador stabs. Since that video I have been asked to do a similar one for the DropStab and the StairStab.
Because DeadlyKitten is at a point where he is comfortable with his Corners and Matadors it is time I tought him Stairstabs so lets learn along at the same time!

+MrPaladin Lucky, I get 100 ping on nearby servers on a good day. 150 usually, though.

Thank you for this video. I always get discouraged when playing spy because I lack training, making my team rather salty, and they need a healer mostly but after awhile, it is not that bad maining two classes. Seriously, thank you mister.
The thing i like most about stairstabs: every enemy spy thinks he can pull it off. Once they go near stairs, just wait at the bottom. They'll eventually jump in front of you.

I have seen all your trickstab tutorials and they have helped me alot. I have learned stairstab and cornerstab but i still need alot of practise in matadors. Matadors are really hard for me. But yeah thank u Mr.Paladin!

I was just playing landfall. And the emeny Scout detected me as I accidentally bumped into him. I started running away. And when I saw he is comming for me on the stairs, all Mr Paladin videos cycled through my mind and I.. DID MY FIRST STAIR STAB :D
Funny, stair stabs and drops stabs are really easy for me but even after watching your tutorials matadors are really difficult lol

I've been watching a ton of your videos and I've gotten really pumped to play this game. I've even downloaded and did the tutorials and some practice. Now though, it's really starting to sink in just how complex this game really is and how far behind I am. Looks like I'll have some more space on my hard drive soon, there is way too much time, practice, and energy needed to catch up or even compete.

As an starter for being an spy main these videos help me a lot, well all of then do. But anyways, I look up to you to being an spy main, and picking my loadouts and ect. Some of the videos I like the most was the one were you explained where S.P.A.H.S did not work, The ones where you go onto random severs, and ect I love all your videos, I'm also an fan of Uncle dave so I know how to deal with spys and help me when i'm playing engi, hank for making these videos and g'day to you mate.

Has anybody noticed how clean those trick stabs were? Almost none of them seemed like he was anywhere near a face-stab, shoulder/side stab maybe, but overall clean back stabs.

Something that might be helpful if you ever revisit the topic, but when you talk about the noclip boxes, it might be worth mentioning, or at least, comparing hitbox to the noclip box, just someone who might need that bit of information can have it. Admittedly, you may have done this, my schedule is too busy to allow me to watch everything you put out, but since you seem to cover most background knowledge in the game, it might be worth a mention at least once.

I've mastered the matador stab so well that I use it to not only bait, but to do it like this. I butter knife someone in the face, right? Then, when they're about to shoot me, i strafe behind them. Then, when they're about to turn around, I strafe back and stab them. You wouldn't want to know how many people called that a facestab if I did that to the person.

Every time I watch your vids, I always think "I'm gonna be good at being a spy now from watching your vids!" But when I get into a game, it was harder than I thought. I can't even trick someone into believe I'm in there team ;-;
The Duck honestly if an enemy belives ur disguise that means one of two things:
1:hes a bad player or
2:you were REALLY good at pretending to be that class

Y'know, it's kind of interesting that, out of the two types, drop and stair stabs are the harder two for people to pick up. I feel like I might have picked up drop stabbing in another game, but with a shotgun instead, but same premise, but I can't recall how true that is or not.
I guess stair makes more sense though, since people actively look for them out of a spy.
