- This video is all about my alternative to the Maxpedition EDC organizer. The Maxpedition one looks great, really durable and functional but I wanted something a little less tactical looking.
I found this device case which I think was either for a handheld game console or a hard drive and the dimensions were perfect for what I needed. There are a few modifications I might make but it will do for now.
Now if you've watched EDC organiser videos before, this is pretty standard with the exception of it being very pink but if your more used to watching 'whats in my purse' videos then you might be a little disappointed. There's no lipstick or mascara, that's in another one of my organizers! There are tweezers but they're not the kind for plucking my eyebrows and then there's loads of mini tools and urban survival type things.
I am literally 9yrs late but that was still amazing 9yrs later. I have a few of the same items your have, still to this day. You edc kit was better that most mens that I enjoy watching. I hope you decide to do an updated version one day soon! Peace and love!

This is very impressive, and far better than many EDCs we see even today, almost a decade later. You were really in advance for your time. As others have mentioned, it would be lovely to see your updated EDC in 2024, since so many things have changed and many new things have arrived out there, I would be very curious to see what you carry now that there is much more possibilities.

Awesome! I really enjoyed this kit. Your organization is inspirational. I especially loved the Pink Explosion theme. My inner OCD approves. The tape measure and rechargeable battery was a nice touch. Would love to see a product review and demo of that tiny hammer. Liked. Favorited. Loved it!

As a girl prepper, I really appreciate that you have this kit! I'm not all about pink, but I think it's awesome that you are and you still find items that are functional for you. Great kit!! Your vids are always awesome and this one takes the cake!

I like your presentation style. Direct without over explaining. Many of the "average Joes" doing preparedness on CZcams could (and need too, IMO) take some pointers from you. You go, Zoe. You might be the just the lady to set off a chain reaction in this area for the average woman who might not think much of preparedness because of dismissive thinking that it's all just a "boys with toys" concept. Preps are for everyone - even the girls. Heck, maybe more so for the girls cause a lot of guys have their heads elsewhere and they may be the one's who will need the help.

Really liked this EDC organizer alternative. Lots of well thought out essential items with a really good functional case, especially the knife sharpener & the mini pry bar. Also, love all the pink color as I'm also a pink lady. Thank you for sharing!!!

Pink is perfect for nature because there is not much pink in nature , so things are not so easy to lose you . Good video!!! nice hammer!!!!

0:30 I'd never considered using a case for my EDC; it's a nice alternative, especially considering it's a hard case, so I guess it provides more protection than the flexible organisers. Also, I've just realised I have a compact camera case I can repurpose -- I was just using it for the charger and spare battery, so there was some wasted space in there.
4:40 Last week I found myself in a situation which would be much easier to solve had I used a second plier. I'm pretty satisfied with my Victorinox Tinker Deluxe, so I wasn't considering a multitool. After I had that experience and now that I've watched your video, I'm considering buying a Leatherman.
5:15 I carry a whistle hanging from my neck chain, so I never thought I needed to carry a second one. But I'm including a spare one I have, now that you've mentioned how it can be used to improve communication.
6:38 It's the first time I see someone carry wire tie in their EDC -- all I see people carrying is zip ties. I do stock on wire ties that come with various packages (mostly sliced bread) and will occasionally use them, because they are easier to use with normal (food) plastic bags. I'll start carrying a few in my EDC.
7:00 Having a UV light to check currency is a great idea. I didn't know there was a keychain sized one -- I once saw a device at a store, but it was quite big (about the size of three average wifi routers stacked) and had to be plugged to a wall socket.
7:39 Hmm... that's a very interesting idea. You just add a wick and the petroleum jelly can may be used as a candle? It's a mod that takes no extra space! I should pay a visit to the nearest arts & crafts store :-)

I was thinking of adding bows to it, but your version seems a lot cheaper. I've seen a bunch of those electronic cases at the thrift store. Thanks for the great tip! I hope to see more videos up!

Great video and very well done. I was thinking "wire saw" and then it came in. I was so impressed! Survival blanket? You could make a little removable insert for the right side with elastic hold downs (thin plastic card, staples).

Great job! I find Maxpedition is great but expensive. There are lots of pencil cases, camera cases etc one can buy cheap at a thrift shop which will serve the purpose. Note Mors Kochanski says only a glass signal mirror will really work, but they are heavy so I keep one only with my hiking bag.

If you always carry that .. your are more prepared than 99.9999 percent of women I know .... Thumbs up !
And as time goes by, carrying all that extra weight day in and day out will result in several back/shoulder/hip issues. I prefer my EDC to be tinier and not so cluttered. What are the chances that disaster really strikes?

This is an awesome and much needed video. I didn't find the Maxpedition case,but I did find about 5 cases that I think could work, but I would like to know if you would share the dimensions of your Maxpedition bag so I can get the right size. I will be happy to share the Amazon links to the bag once I choose the right one. The other question I had was do you have a link for each of the things in your bag? You had some really cool small containers and you had that portable container for lighting fluid that was awesome.

Regards the compass... Go to blacks or your nearest backpacker store and compare deflection. Remember it is after all magnetic north, so you need to look up your local area or county deflection from true north. I think it's about 10 to 15 degrees or so but it has been a while since I last looked, and I am seriously further north of the UK

The Southpaw Surgeon thank you 😊 I bought it on eBay years ago and just searched for hard drive case. It didn’t have a brand name and I’m sure it only cost a few pounds. I’ll have a quick search to see if I can find anything similar. What part of the world are you from?

Wrap the pencil with waxed paper or even better non stick paper (like those on double sided tape). Than wrap the tape, like this you can sharpen the pencil just need to slide the tape section up.
