As an Emergency Alert enthusiast... here is a little tip, This one says it was originated by an “EAS Participant” but it would have been originated by “A Civil Authority”

Any originator can issue any alert at any time. I’m an EAS Enthusiast as well and this is incorrect.

It says EAS Participant!!! It was not a hacker, someone can buy an ENDEC online and send alerts!!!!!! Please let the public know
It was a hacker. Any operator that activates an EAS ENDEC Decoder will be automatically considered an EAS Participant by default on the system, unless it were altered for certain ENDEC systems.
