Gucci Guilty Black, which is dark green, has weaker silage and is softer, fuller, and woody-green as the bottle suggests. The green note is dark and wet, that is a plus. The fragrance is considerably smoother than the original, less floral, and less spicy. Its notes are seamlessly blended, however, its homogeneity can also be considered a failure being a bit too monotonous.
Since we're set on considering only viable cases, I'll be short in my assessment of Gucci Guilty Absolute in the brown bottle and Cologne in the light green one. Absolute is great to smell but too demanding for casual wear, it is not appealing to a younger crowd. It certainly retails in some places, but it is mainly lost between niche and lux - for lux, it is too expressive and classic while niche lovers, after short praise, would certainly prefer something more niche. As for Cologne, it is a funny one, an idealized melancholy that Alessandro Michele stubbornly pickles for us already for the second time. The first time was Gucci Guilty Love Edition. The number of people who appreciated the boogery green bottle with a young grandpa in the ad is not large. However, the idea seems to be so dear to the Gucci art director's heart, that he pushes it again, in Cologne. An assortment of marinated woods and a sad and never-lived image of the 70s. Good luck with selling it to young people.
Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Eau de Parfum in the matt black bottle is the latest one. It looks cool and edgy like the badass black finish of some cars. Eau de Parfum is a fuller, sweeter, darker, more floral, and a bit sweeter version of the original. It smells richer, but it somewhat crumbles under its complexity and lacks good projection. Eau de Parfum is for those who seek intensity and luxuriance over the already good original. This unhealthy trend made a screeching caricature of Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel in their parfum version. A perfume shouldn't scream. Too much is bad, it is as simple as that.
Fortunately, Gucci didn't pump their EDP with more wood, more spices and more power, only its top note has been playfully changed. It does smell wonderfully rosy when you spray it. Along with rose, we see balsamic vinegar, red chili pepper, and salt. What a combination! If you read the notes, you smell everything listed, however, I think all these fancy notes are merely a way to tame the rose to smell discretely masculine. The salty-sour savory accord reduces the lipstick aspect of the rose. The rose is nicely and quickly tucked into the woody base, making it voluptuous. I consider Eau de Parfum a lovely perfume, but I still prefer the good old basic original.

I didn't buy anything from Gucci since long time. But when i was buying few perfumes i decided to try on Gucci Guilty EDP and wow it performed well on me.
I kept it for next day and smell was elegant & clean. And very nice on the nose so i got it. It is type of perfumes you keep having in your collection. Either daily or date or important occasion.

The brand feels like it is doing its own thing at best, or lost in the wilderness at worst. Guilty Elixir was interesting, I have not smelled something like it or since and that’s a plus at least. The relatively affordable price on Gucci is probably the second plus for the Brand

I own Reflection Man, Pegasus and Guilty Elixir. Guilty Elixir has definitely been my favorite out of those since it was released!

@@GucciButNotGuiltyAwesome! 😊 it’s a wonderful and unique fragrance. I’m glad you enjoy it. My father loves it as well and has it on his gift wish list too. The bottle is like a green boiled sweet. I love it

The parfum is overpriced and doesn’t perform well on me. I don’t think its worth the money.

Yeah I have some samples of the edp and I’m. It a fan of rose scent. Feels feminine. I like to wear cologne that has a bit, it’s almost offensive when first sprayed. Like oud wood or Jo Malone cypress and grape.
