That's a mess, but I'm sure you'll sort it. I'll be watching with interest. Good luck! (you mentioned the next vid will be better, success I hope) Cheers Brendan

Thanks for explaining only buying one sensor. Nothing worse than a known unknown or an unknown known. Good luck. Following other people's attempts at diagnosis and repair is challenging. Especially when they haven't wanted to spend money.

Thanks Volvo. In the end I purchased 3 new sensors in total. So I have a spare... next episode is much more positive.

@Bbeavis cheers. I don't envy your task and I'm glad things get better. They are a fun car.

Holy crap this car has been torn apart so much more after I owned it!

The wiring under the dash is like this because he repaired Battery tray rust, and he got it running on a haltech temporarily... so it was for positive causes, just never put it back together after he was done hah.

@@Bbeavis Is the carpet taken out as well? That being said, a lot of the wires short of the dash wires, DME wires and head unit wires can be removed. There were a lot of bodgy wiring jobs for the rear wipers, sunroof and I believe a fuel pump relay kill override/kill switch too.

@@toddscars Carpet is half removed. I am working on fixing the rusted seat rails, so that I can get the seat out to remove the carpet.

makes mx5's look really sensible - can't believe porsche's clunky way of setting the gap😱

Early days of EFI, not everyone was doing it easy.
