It is just for adds of the flowers... They don't stay there long enough for them to overgrow the container that's why there's 5739 plants in there. Looks lovely.
This is why your planters always look amazing: you understand that a pot needs to be full and overflowing to be attractive to the eye and your eye is one of the best!
Honestly don't understand why you pack the plants in there like that. They don't really have room to grow and express themselves. Sure, it's immediate bling -- is that the end goal?
They will be like weeds, competing for water and nutrients. They have no airflow, which leads to spindly stems, yellowing leaves, bug infestations, diseases spreading, and early death of all plants. This is for a quickie shot, and dead. Long term gorgeous pots do not look full when first planted, they grow into it.
This is a Spring container. It's not meant to last more than a month or two, and then Laura will put most of these plants into the landscape. Since it's still cool there, they won't grow very fast. They'll be fine for the 6-8 weeks they'll be in there.

I started planting my seasonal plants in containers at least ten years ago due to my health issues and I have the best time growing plants!!! I love how creative I can be!!
