- Recently I watched a video by my good friend Gayle Agostinelli where Gayle created paperclip pockets from book pages, this reminded me that I had a version of paperclip pockets in my ideas journal that I'd not made for some time. So I thought it was time to share the process of turning a 12"x12" piece of craft pad into seven pieces of ephemera.
Thank you for the reminder Gayle.
Here is the link to Gayle's video, pop over and take a look at an alternative method of making these really lovely paperclip pockets: • Craft with Me! - Pocke...

You are one of those people that everybody thinks…Yes we would be great friends! Except I live in the US but you still seem like a friend. You make us all smile.❤️
You are an absolutely delightful instructor! I so thoroughly enjoyed your calm Teaching demeanor, fun attitude and organization! Thanks a bunch! ☺️✂️I’ll be back for more!!🎉
Thank you so much Lisa
I’m so glad you decorated them all onscreen, love them!
Debbie it’s always a bit of a challenge time wise when I decorate on screen
I love this idea for paper clip covers. And I love how you decorated them. Your video's are never to long!! You do the video's as though we are all in the same room crafting together. Your video's are inspiring, fun and relaxing. Thank you for the time you spend making them. I'm glad to hear that your wrist is healing well. I'm with you on Spring and Fall. Summer is far too warm for me and, like you, I do enjoy winter but worry about falling. We're just getting spring here in Northern Michigan.
Thank you Michele
I so agree. I like your ways of explaining and your projects!
Yes, I agree 👍 your videos are always so relaxing. What better way of learning! 😂
I am always looking for ways to use my 12x12s and an easy mass make is so appreciated . These are awesome! Love them so much ❤
Thank you Lisa
I like you, Ceri the crafter. You make me feel happy every time you say "Now" 🙃

Oh my gosh. I can't believe I found you! We live in Signal Mountain, TN outside of Chattanooga. USA. We just got back last Friday from our 2 week vacation in Wales, with a few days in the Cotswolds.I'm heading out Thursday to Medina, NY, to Ellen J. Goods for a junk journal retreat. I've learned so much from you just on this video alone. THANK YOU!
Wow Laura you certainly like to keep moving, enjoy your retreat
These paper clip pockets are just beautiful. You are so talented and such a great instructor, Ceri! Thank you!
Thank you so much!
Love these, Ceri! So fun! Nothing like a cute paperclip to get us going, is there? 😂. Thanks so much for the mention and link. You’re the best, my friend! Love and hugs to you and glad the recovery is moving along. Be careful with my friend, will you? He’s precious to me. 😊❤

Thank you so much and enjoy your new found passion.
Good day Cheri, I just found your channel, I am a paper craft artist too. I believe we are kindred spirits on the 4 seasons and I enjoyed this tutorial. Your wonderful humor cheered me up, today, 2/8/2024, we buried our parent’s ashes who both dies in the last 18months. May everyone be blessed today!
Thank you
So sorry that you lost both your parents so close together.
Hi Ceri. I just found you and am so glad I did. I enjoy the way you explain things and how careful you are in your process. Thank you for sharing!!!
Cindy it’s my pleasure. Thank you
Such a great project! I love versatile and interesting things to use in my journals - and appreciate your techniques! Thanks for sharing! I’m glad to see you’re healing up nicely! Pain is difficult to live with and always such a relief to discover it’s gone! Take care!
I can't wait for the rib pain to be gone it keeps surprising me
I really never thought a lowly little paperclip could end up being such a little work of art! You are amazing, Ceri! Thank you for another wonderful video.
I started making cards 4 months ago but looked into making journals/ephemera finding your videos containing measured, clear teaching often with simple, inexpensive items. Love your creativity! Many thanks. -Brisbane ❤🇦🇺
Wonderful
I am so glad this video came up on my feed. I love your style and technique. ❤
Thank you Louisa.
I truly enjoyed viewing your very organized boxes of tricks. In all honesty’s the video was very calming. So relaxing I watched it twice. Very creative. Again, thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you
Those are so pretty Ceri! I’ve got so many beads from my beading days! I guess I can start making some dangles and then work on the paperclips later. Be well my friend! ❤
Have fun and thank you
I am so glad your hand is getting better so you can craft again 🎉 I love your videos 🎉😊
Thank you! 😊 Sharon
We were at a museum years ago and they have an old railroad town there. At the photography place, the gentleman said the reason they don't smile is because it wasn't an instant shot like we have now. It took quite a few seconds before the shot was taken. So it was easier to look sober than to smile and start to lose it while waiting for the shot to finish. In some old pictures, you'll see a horse or dog with a double head or face sort of smeared, because they moved during the picture taking.
Karrie others have also told me this too, thank you for the extra layer of information .
Both of you guys have great ideas! I haven’t jumped into the book page ephemera pool yet, but they are on my list. Yours are going to be done today. Thank you for explaining the process so well. And it’s a great way to use up ugly or the big scrapbook background pages.
Have fun.
Oh my goodness. These are so beautiful. I must make these. Thank you for sharing !😊
You are so welcome!
Ceri , you speak our English language impeccably ! Plus remember language evolves so no mistakes there ❤❤
Wonderful, thank you
I don’t know what it is but people his neck of the woods, could tell me the moon was square, and I would believe them. They make me laugh and seem more honest!
I'm the same with summer, I hide in the shadows 😂
These are beautiful xxx
I just function better when it’s not as hot.
Love making ephemera, and love all you have created in your video in real time which I love! So glad your wrist is healing! You inspire me as always, thank you ❤
You’re welcome Judy
Hi Ceri. This was a fun video. I hadn't seen these before. I crafted along with you and i can say they're addicting. I am mass making. TFS and inspiring me. ❤Nebraska USA

Another fabulous video, Ceri, really appreciate your thoughts on creating, gave me some great ideas. Glad you’re on the mend!
Me too, thank you
Love these. I’m from the US and although I have gotten many great ideas, tips, and instruction from numerous CZcams videos, I find I really enjoy those from “across the pond” the best as they are well planned, organized, and to the point! Thank you. I am now a subscriber of yours and am looking forward to going through your tutorials.
Thank you and welcome to my channel.
You r fabulous and I love watching and listening to you. Great teacher
Thank you so much!
It's great to have a selection of great artists making these kind of things!! Repetition is a great way to remember...for me to make them!
Like wise Louisa.
Excellent work! Love your paper clip pockets! Wonderful tutorial. Your dangles add a lovely touch. Thank you for sharing. Hugs
You're welcome Susan
I love watching the process and I find watching repeat processes very calming and interesting. I, too, am a fan of Gayle's videos and since she doesn't edit I get the whole performance including her fun chit-chat😂 Besides, one always has the option of fast fowarding. But I can't recall what you have cut out! Maybe something to think about?
But in spite of it all I love this video!❤😊
Thank you
Ceri,
Your videos are never never, never to long. Love talking with you and hearing all your comments and conversation. It's the best.
Thank you so much Naomi
Jeremy, your videos have helped me so much, and you have always been so generous in sharing your knowledge. Thank you!
Thank you for showing us the entire process. This was quite relaxing and enjoyable! I will have fun putting some clips and pretty dangles.
Thank you Donna don’t forget you can vary the dimensions to suit your own projects.
Love how you made those paperclips. Beautiful work.
Thank you
Beautiful and inspiring as always. Thanks Ceri, stay lovely. ♥
Absolutely beautiful 🤩
I have never made a mass make before but your paper clips were so pretty I had to try. I've made 3 lots and I'm really happy with them. Thanks so much.
Fabulous.
People in the 1800's photographs didn't smile becausebof exposure time and how long they had to sit perfectly still. Nothing to do with uncomfortable clothing, i will say that if you had money for photographs you possibly weren't that hungry
Good point
Also more likely... Social norms were different... Just like military or even high school pictures you were not encouraged to smile... Be serious! Not frivolous or silly. That was a real thing! Even up in the mid to late 20th century when cameras had faster shutters.. seriousness was expected.
My dad was a photographer... Formal pictures were serious...look at your currant passport
I’d heard it was because of the poor condition of teeth.
I always thought the women looked so miserable because
there was no birth control.
To have little to no hope for a year ahead without another baby, and more work .😢
Life was so much harder.
My first time here. Right away, I LOVE the project book! I do that for sewing. Thanks for this tip!
You’re welcome.
These are wonderful! Thank you so much for this process video!
My pleasure Mary
Truly wonderful. You have explained it very well. I am amazed by the way you created and decorated those bookmarks. Came out lovely. The beads? Didn’t think about that. Really nice. Thank you. Looking forward to more of your tips in journaling.
These were awesome! Thanks for sharing your ideas and process.
Very nice! I love the dangles, I’ll have to get some supplies to make some. You also mentioned an idea journal. What a great idea, another thing I need to do!
I make my dangles from recycled jewellery from the thrift store.
I especially love these with the dangles on top, very pretty.
Thank you
Im totally trying this! I'm a perain who needs to see something done a few times before i can tackle it so seeing you repeat the process a few times works brilliantly for me!
Fabulous Terri
These are adorable!! Love how they came out!! I need to make some now! ❤
Have fun.
Love this!!! Thanks for sharing your great ideas. You are a fabulous instructor. Also, I love you're little chats about what is going on with you. You were my first junk journal video. You're still my favorite. Keep up the great ideas. You are greatly appreciated. ❤

Thank you Josette I will
So glad to hear your wrist is so much better. Hopefully your ribs will mend fast and you'll be right as rain in no time. I saw Gayle's video on pocket tags and thought the side pocket idea was great. I never would have thought to switch it up to make upright pockets! Thanks for this great idea! It will add variety to our pocket paperclips. TFS Hope you have a great day. 🌞
Thank you Donna
Thank you for your time. I’m so new and using the larger sheets is a great lesson. I don’t have any paper like u but I’ll start looking. Again thank you.

I enjoyed this tutorial and all the ideas you shared. The washi tape stamps are really a cute idea and so simple. I was looking for a special paperclip to use in my journal for an upcoming retreat. These you made are so cute and very versatile. I will make some up and take with me to share. Thank you ever so much!! Love your ephemera organization!!! Not an ephemera book kind of girl myself.
Crazy over the moon for these paper clips. The paper and ephemera choices were fantastic! TFS. 🙏🥰

Great video, I made 14 while you decorated your. Now I have all kinds to decorate in my spare time. Thank you for sharing.
Wonderful!
Just found your channel. I think it really cool how everyone starts with the same idea than adds totally a different outcome.
I love the development of an idea.
Your fingers are magic Ceri. I wish I could meet you in person and see it in real life. thank you for sharing your gifts with us.
Thank you
Good to know this works with one-sided paper as well. So many projects/ideas don't. At the moment, I don't have much double-sided paper, and I'm trying to use up the paper I have on hand. Always enjoy your videos!
Sue dive into your scraps and have fun.
@CeriGriffiths I'm giving these a try tonight. I'm glad your wrist is coming along. I'm with you on the seasons, by the way. Fall is a definite favorite over spring; I love it when the temperatures cool down after the hot summer. I really enjoy your videos!
Enjoyed this very much Ceri, thank you.
You’re welcome
Love this idea , using 12x12’s that are sitting there . Glad lve come across your CZcams channel. Thanks for sharing
Using unwanted 12x12 stock is a great way to find extra resources.
Love every idea you've demonstrated. Once I get the cards all done I have to make, I'm going to put all these ideas into practice. As the other commentators have said, you have a very calm and interesting way of chatting while you teach. Thank you!!
Wonderful!
Very cute! Thanks Ceri
Thank you Cathy
Personally I love watching you decorate what you make I have learned so much by watching how you balance out the item you are working on. I had to pause the video and get to mass making. I made some of mine 3 inches wide as I wanted a bit wider pockets. After I caught up to the end of gluing I then watched how you decorated yours. Now I just need to make 49 or 50 I can’t remember how many I ended up with lol dangles. For some reason I have never mass made those I guess it’s time to do so! As always loved the video and I am happy your wrist is getting better. Ribs I know take a bit longer I broke 2 and cracked 2 they are no fun at all. Weather here in Oregon has finally decided it’s spring and we are having wonderful weather as well. Thank you for the video. 💖💖💖
Wow you have been productive.
I’m in Michigan in the Northern United States. I so agree with you. I love winter. Of course I have a nice warm home with a garage. It does get a little dreary as we have been getting a lot mor cloudy days ( global warming), My favorite seasons are spring and Fall. Can’t stand the heat of summer! Thank you for this lesson. Nicely explained! Hope you are all healed up soon.
I’m healing, thank you.
Beautiful amazing work. The clips that you said look like light bulbs. I use those light bulbs looking pins to mark my work for crochet. Everybody in my line of work uses those as Stitch markers. That's what they're called from my kind of work. 👍💡
Love it !!!! Beautiful!!!
I love these sweet little accent pieces! Glad you're healing well!
Thank you Sandra
Thank you Ceri - I am new to hidden clips. This is quick & easy.
Thank you for an amazing idea! It is so much appreciated. X
You’re welcome
I love the idea of using a 12x12 to make these with nary a bit of waste. Great tutorial, thank you!

One commenter said she loves your teaching. I so agree! The fact is I have a bit of trouble learning & having just been accumulating supplies & tools & just beginning..I was worried whether I could follow some. But you are going to be a huge help I can tell. Thank you Ceri!! 💙🙏from Iowa!!
Wonderful, I’m so pleased to be able to help you along your own artist journey.
I love the Fabric Tack. It is like using hot glue with out getting burned & can be used on numerous items. Ver interesting video. Tonight is the first time I have seen one of your videos. Thank you.
Thanks for watching and welcome to my channel.
