Composed by Queen Kapiolani for her husband, the last king of the Hawaiian Kingdom as he sailed to San Francisco to recover from illness. Unfortunately, the King was never to hear it as he
died at the Palace Hotel. That was King david Kalakaua. Palani Vaughn added a second melody in the years when he recorded the songs of Kalakaua & about the King. This song was written in chant form. & this is the John Cruz from the Ka'au Crater boys. He sings it in the form the queen composed. Very sad song.

I'm so glad I rank across this item where you are singing a slow Hawaiian song, plus you're very good at it and you have a lovely voice when you sing slow Hawaiian songs. WOW! Very unexpected of you. I'm "saving" this to my computer list of music that I listen to everyday while I'm doing my game thingies>>>
