Just got a 2020 Ford Escape SE and I have a 2014 CRV I gave to my daughter in college. I think the Escape is much better looking. Mine is Orange (Cooper ish) color. The gas mileage is better and in sports mode much quicker. Escape's 5 modes, regular, eco, sport, slippery, and snow/sand also make it more versatile. Ford wins for me. Plus I can start my ford from my cell phone with the Ford app.

      2020 Ford Escape 1.5-Liter 3-Cylinder EcoBoost: Pros
It might provide everything you need if you're eyeing the Escape. To be specific, this EcoBoost engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder with direct injection, producing 181 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque. It's connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission.Sep 24, 2019

I just test drove 2020 CR-V . Felt exactly like I was driving my wife’s 2007 Odyssey which has been very un-reliable. Ford Escape felt like I was driving a German sports car. Wasn’t expecting that at all. Buying the Ford as I have read that the Escape reliability history is really good.

Have an Odyssey and think it’s great so choosing between the CRV, Escape and RAV4 was a challenge. Was leaning towards the CRV but the smaller engine and the CVT turned me away. The RAV4 engine was the best choice for longevity with direct and port fuel injection should run forever with proper maintenance. The Escape won my wife over on styling and the performance of the 2.0T is really impressive. Purchased the Escape Titanium and so far very pleased. 33 mpg combined but I’ve been babying it.

Sir, why did you compare a top of line Honda CRV with a SEL Ford Escape? Maybe the interior comparison might have had a different outcome if you had used a top of the line Escape. You failed to mention the heated steering wheel on the focus while you viewed the heated seats. What about the transmissions? Can you compare a 9 speed to a CVT? Very odd review. Honda's entertainment system is subpar and has been subpar since its inception. No mention of price? Well, I guess the CRV would cost much more given you used the highest trim.

Great review however as a poster mentions the Honda Touring is not matched against the Ford Titanium. All good points on both vehicles. Escape does need softer touch surfaces inside. CRV interior is very busy looking. The CRV angular look is not for me although I like it. The Escape is more refined and simple. I purchased the 2020 Titanium last week, it's my 1st Ford and I needed to go with the 250 HP for sure, plus towing 3,500 lbs...can't beat that! Thanks for the video!

My parents own both a 2020 Escape SE AWD 1.5L Ecoboost and a 2019 CR-V EX AWD 1.5L Earthdreams
After a year and 25,000km of ownership the Fords pre-collision system and adaptive cruise control still don't work.
Secondly the turbo (1.5L) makes a high pitched whine on acceleration and misfires like crazy on cold winter start-ups.
Multiple visits to different dealers say its either normal or they can't seem to find or replicate the issue.
The CR-V after 18 months and 45,000km still has excessive gas in the engine oil.
Oil level is always way over and has a strong gas odour.
3 different dealers won't do anything about it and the CVT just started leaving small puddles on the driveway.
The Escape is very loud on the highway vs the CR-V. Both running the same factory Continental Tires.
Also has an awesome drivers seating position. You'll never be uncomfortable on long road trips, short or tall and is slightly lower so it's easier getting in and out of and loading cargo.
Gas mileage on both has very similar both averaging 10L/100km or 23.5MPG about 60/40 city/highway driving.

A 1960 Chevy I had with a mechanical fuel pump that leaked gas into the crankcase caused the oil to thin out and not lubricate the engine properly and ruined the engine. Your fuel pump is not like that, but your gas in the oil problem is; get it fixed or maybe change your oil more often.

this is my revenge..my CR-V has had 2 major mechanical issues which are common with the vehicle as documented by owner groups but ignored by Honda. They are not all bad but they have problems which you will eat because Honda has no cure…be warned.

    *Comments:* FORD!!!1!1!1!
*Me:* I'll go with the Subaru.
*James Charles:* The moderator is quite hot.
*Scotty K.:* I'll go with the Celica!
I'd prefer the CR-V for space reasons and practicabilty. Greets from Germany.

How much were you paid by Honda .... lots of bias and subjective crap (although you did say that at the beginning) ... 🤮🤮

Very bias review. This guy desperately tries to make a case for the CRV.🤦🏾‍♂️ The Escape is clearly the nicer looking & more fun to drive small SUV between the two.

The Ford is smooth and the Honda is ugly that's not subjective. The Honda comes across as tacky not flamboyant. It looks as if it were styles six years ago.
I use to like Honda but their latest offering have been getting uglier. Styling that is busy not better.

The CRV has quickly become outdated. Too many disadvantages for the CRV. Missing features and the fake wood needs to go. The Ford on the other hand has had recalls already and Ford may not be around for the life of the car. Very biased review!

Why? It’s built on the C2 platform, designed in Germany for the 2020 Focus originally - its a great chassis for the price point

Get a Honda w the sun and moon roof then compare for the sound in the vehicle.
The Ford has such a sleek, nice look to it. Then the engine ☺️ sorry, but the fake wood in the Honda isn’t doing it for me
