I finally figured out why this song is so appealing to me and those who lived through the 80s... it is Us Starseeds' love ballad. It is how I feel many times since coming to Earth... I feel I want to leave and go back home wherever home is. And you can only find home by leaving Earth.

And that's completely okay because people don't listen to rock necessarily for the voice, but for the musical content instead. For the guitar, for the style, and for the texture it has that can't be found in many modern songs.
