I got the regular version, not being aware of this special limited edition version. It's just as well, since I don't have a spare $600 lying around. 😂

I am really lucky to have a first edition (with the autograph of Timothee Chalamet) and I can vouch for how beautiful it is! But I did not even take it out properly from the box because I did not want to wreck it. It is so precious!

Speaking of this book, when you get a chance... You should check out the "Art and Soul of Dune" by Hans Zimmer. In particular, one song you guys should listen to is "Foreword" which is a slowed rendition of the beginning of the House Atreides theme.

Bummer, already sold out of 1st edition at $595. They say they have secured the rights to print more, but that kind of defeats the purpose of a limited edition.
That is a shame. I think you can still get some around the net. The first batch was with Timothee Chalamet's signature. The second batch was without. My guess is with a third batch there will be fewer/no signatures to keep the limited edition status.
The limited edition is already SOLD OUT. Unless you want to buy it on ebay for $5000!
Couldn’t afford $600 so I bought the regular version which is still lovely.

Thank you for this wonderful look at "The Art and Soul of Dune" Limited Edition. Now I am hopefully to have my order soon. I ordered the LE at the "Insight Edition Shop" and the Edition is not yet on the way. So you show in the Video the second Edition (without the Autograph of Timothee) and so I see Insight Edition is now sending the LE, so that means it will take not too long bevor my copy comes to me. It has a long way to Germany, so I hope it comes without damage. This is a incredible Edition and I'm happy and looking forward to see this.
The packaging was very secure (at least it was for me). It is a box that comes in a box with protective layers inside the box too. Hopefully it will come without damage.
@@secretsofdune Now today Insight Edition send a E-mail with a further delay. So I wait longer. They hope they have a delivery Date within the next Month. So at this time I only can patience. But I hope this is the last delay, it is the third. Primary was 10th December 2021 the delivery Date for the LE, then 30th December, then delay to 28th January 2022, and know the third time. So I hope my copy comes really this year 😉

@@AC26875 Hello. My E-Mail received the day before yesterday. My shipping is very fast because I payed the express shipping. So now tomorrow the Order is to be arrive here and I am very excited. I ordered in November last year.
Too bad that the concept art looks better than what we got in the final film. The art has warm colors, high contrast and golden ornamentation. We didn't get much of that in the film. I hope part 2 will show the emperor in a golden aristocratic setting, and not the cold dark grey/brown empty stone halls look we got in part 1.

I hope it arrives ok. My copy from Amazon came loose in a box with no protection and was destroyed during shipping.
Not good! very not good! I pre-ordered this on "Insight Edtions" at September 20 and received it at October 24! So you must chase them!

This was second batch and I received it a while ago so you should chase them up on it.
@@secretsofdune They keep sending emails that it's been delayed. I dont know if you're in Europe, but they say they are having issues getting it to the US.
Maybe my local public library will have this?
They might have the standard edition but due its limited status I don't think they'll have this edition or the secondary book that comes with it I'm afraid.
The Atreides symbol is so cool
I have bought 2 copies of this book so far (the Norman version). Both have arrived destroyed because online book stores won't package heavy books properly and have gone back for a refund. Now I can't source a copy in my country anymore.
Cud u not try Amazon as they do pack in sturdy cardboard and they can deliver to a locker so can pick it up from there.. maybe Amazon from neighbouring country tho postage cud be a charge!?

Oh brother, this movie sucked. This artsy farts voiced guy talking about a hollow egg. No levity, nothing to remember. A bunch of jaded people in the movie.
Okay well look its a product review not a review of the movie itself. You can criticize me personally and that is fine if it's constructive but just pure insults make you look like a low human being and its boring/negative. If you dislike my voice and Dune itself you don't have to stay here brother. Plenty of content on YT to enjoy. Peace.
On this Dune, IMDb shows a very good Viewer score of 8.1/10.
Then shows a vg Critic Meta score of 74 (53 positive to only 1 negative review). As a Dune books fan, I would agree with this Overall positive concensus.
