Enif is one of my favorite stars in the constellation of Pegasus for it pointed me towards Comet West back in 1976. And what a Comet it was!

Wish I'd seen that one, but I was far too young then. Hyakutake an Hale-Bopper were pretty darned amazing though...

Eyes on the Sky They were! In the past 45 years I would say Comet West would be on the top of my list, then Hale-Bopp, Hyakutake, Halley, and lastly Comet IRAS-Araki-Alcock. The last one was interesting because I constantly had to _bump_ the telescope to keep it in view (and it was not because of the Earth's rotation either).

It depends on the comet and its/your location along with the magnification at which you're viewing as to how quickly it appears to move relative to the background stars. But right now, there aren't any really bright comets in the sky - most are 10th magnitude or fainter.

Ditto what David said, and this website is pretty good on keeping up on current events in regards to comets www.aerith.net/comet/weekly/current.html . All listed are quite faint!

In the morning skies, next year in late February / early March. I did a video on observing Saturn in the evening skies when it was well-placed about 5 months ago. czcams.com/video/CqxF2-TArxc/video.html

Just informing you that there's a typo in the beginning: "followig" should be "following"
