Man this is my cousins old car. A few different upgrades from when he had it, but the memories and fun we had in that car literally have me smiling from ear to ear right now. I hope the new owner enjoys it like my cousin did. We had a few nice street races with this little car.
Idk why, the sound and feel of the doors on a Foxbody opening and closing is so satisfying. Something about it
Oh wow, the great under carriage shots shows this is well built. Someone lost quite a bit when they sold it. A good running 351 is a perfect street motor.
Wats the deal witht the Bible thumping...were talking about cars😂
Original paint, built motor, tremec 5 speed, frame connectors, nearly mint interior, nice wheels and tires, etc, etc. This car at $16k is a freaking steal.
Original "color" maybe....but that front clip has been repainted
The horn button is on the turn signal lever. Just press the lever in to honk the horn. My late grandparents’ 1994 Ford LTD Crown Victoria has that feature, as well as many 1978-1984 Ford cars
Could be wrong but I think the horns on the early 80’s, pre 85 Mustangs, were activated by depression of the turn signal stalk on the left, so the horn may in fact work from there.
Beautiful car! Also, the rear quarter windows have been updated to ‘87-‘89 model windows. Cool upgrade! Definitely need to drop in and see this one. Had an 85 LX coupe in “sand” back in the 80s
Correct about horn
My 1981 Mercury Capri had that turn signal stalk horn. Thanks for reminding me of the greatest cheap car I ever had. That straight 6 never quit in the time I, my buddy, and our co-worker’s son owned it. The three speed auto eventually went out on the son, and I don’t know where it ended up after that…most likely a scrap yard.
Yes it was a carryover from the Fairmont.
What a nice car, I just purchased a 82 GT, can't wait to be cruising in it, this will sell fast
Lot of suckers out there
@@mikecummings6593 Notchback sunroof car that is clean is hard to find nowadays. Plus 5 speed with 351? I thought thier price was fair. Can't even buy a newer used econobox for those paper dollars.
Those Mustangs always gave alot of bang for the buck !! $15,000 and you have something that would put rubber on the windshield of something twice that money.
I had a brown 82 Mustang from 89 to 93. But was a 6cyj auto. I loved that car.
I remember my oldest sister got one and is the same color in your video. Year was 86. I was just 13 yrs old. Remember sitting in her car and I thought I was so cool . Missed being a kid .
I had a mustang such as this in 82. My fav car of all the cars I have owned.
Clean Nothcback w/ sunroof, 5 speed and a 351 as a bonus! Nice Fox!
Great job on the video Nick! Love that brown paint. Love the 351. I would buy this right now if I hadn't already obligated money elsewhere. But this car is likely sold before I finish this post.
The horn is on the turn signal stock. You push in on the end of it. My first car was an 82 hatchback.
European type of thing. Most of the late 70s/early 80s Ford products had them.
Would have been nice if they blended the paint into the doors when they painted the fenders and hood.
Love the 4-eye 82 Notch. Looks like they put 87 side rear windows and side mirrors. I would use some SEM Trim Black to paint the side mirrors and black trim around the glass.
The horn is on the turn signal on these early foxes. Just push it in.
Nice car
Haha! I just made the same comments before scrolling. The horn stalk was always a weird thing. Lol
Caught the late 80s quarter windows but totally missed they changed the mirrors! Nice catch!
That doo doo brown, it must have been a UPS speedy delivery car...lol
What can brown do for you? LOL A lot apparently. Fast delivery.
5:35 made me smile uncontrollably. It was as if I physically felt that moment 😮
Some say I'm crazy but that exhaust must've smelled gooood. Noting like how the older rides sound and smell
Precisely.. i want some fragrance company to make it for women to wear.. sellout in no time.. 😂😅😂
That old car smell of vinyl and grandma's cigarettes ah the days;
Nice solid car for a great price. Love the color and the wheels. Brings back memories. I remember seeing these on the lot in ‘82 when I bought my first brand new car. Mustangs we’re out of my price range then and I ended up with a bare bones base model Escort! She was fast tho! 0 to 60 eventually!!😂
If you want the horn to work push turn signal in. 4 eyed foxes rule. I own 2 fairmonts and 83 notch back all have horn on turn signal. Nice car
You were a good kid growing up, looking out for Momma! Just making sure the tires were round and checking the traction of the back tires, good boy!!! 💨💨💨
Great Car. I have 2 mustangs right now. 13 gt500 and a 2021gt500. I've had numerous over the years. Including a 89 5.0 lx hatchback. It was quick for sure at its time. Loved it.
What a fun, sweet, and well-built pony.
Has an 84 convertible. Rebuild the motor and had a blast with that car! Similar color too. This one is fast..fun fun! Till Mom takes the stang away. Lmao!
Small repair and powerstering, and you have a Nice gourgeus mustang 🎶 thanks Nick great 🎶 music 🤟 stay cool 😎 😎 😊 🤟
These notch backs are so awesome man they bring back memories lol
Looks like it's a hoot to drive ! Great as usual Nick !
All that power and a 3:73 posi. It was built to melt the tires off the rims.
This dude seems legit just trying to get people into affordable classics. Kudos to u brother
As used car salesmen go, he seems to be a good guy.
Thank you
Winner winner scallop dinner and a very nice 82 stang overall. I am like an old man in a candy store, a car like this I can not ignore, love it and great price over all. For I still love the thill of these cars and I always will. Old Master Gunnery SGT USMC.
Loved this test drive
A guy used to street race a similar year mustang by me. Had a built 383 or 406 chevy, charcoal color with slotted mags and the notch back. Man it was fast, like this one, sounds like it would be anyway.
Good looking '82 👍 Should sell quick! 🙂
Not from me
I hAd a 92 black on black gt convertible 5.0 5spd cross pipe flow master exhaust a blast now I need another any year really all the same basically except air conditioningand power steering I had. Great video and going over the car😊
Nice to see a clean pre 87. Back in the 90's this car would have had an 87-93 front clip and tail lights added to make it look newer
Looks good. But you can tell the fronts been painted versus the rest…should have painted the entire car. Love to have it though
That shift pattern looks nice short and tight I bet is a blast to ride probably a little sketch in the rain especially without power steering but I've been there done it
Been building them since 83.Nice solid example. I love the car!🤠
Oil pressure is low !
@@stevedixon9409 if it has underdrive pulleys added it will read low.🤠
@@kennywhite9283 wrong answer kenny
Never was a ford guy till these foxbodys came out these 5-speeds in these were a blast and easy to shift mine was the 1983 gt5.0 factory holley 4 barrel rear deck spoiler t-tops great car all stock bought it I’m thinking $2600.00 not no more lol,
Im the one that said ive had 12 mustangs but am a Chevy truck guy but my 88 coupe is like that but has a kenny bell supercharger on it along with alot of other upgrades but at 50 mph it will bust the tires out from under you its a 3000 lb beast there no joke 3rd gear literally will put u in the ditch but that blacked out ss you have is making me want another toy wish i could have caught this one for that price to add to the barn !! Nice job man keep them videos coming..
Very good purchase to whomever bought it😊
Thank you so much 😊
Another badass lil stang. I'd have to repaint it lol. Great video Nick
Sey Nick! how are you doing 😚 today, great job 👌👍 on driving that mustang 🐎 (5.0/5-speed_brown), 🙈 seems like you are ready for the racetrack , that 's very smart 🤓 letting the customers know what they are buying, a great 👍👍 business man!!
The horn button insignia on the stalk was in plain sight. Wonder why he didn't see it when he tested the indicators.
🤷♂️
You'd be able to win some races with this car,no question about it,that thing is bad ass!.John Guinto
Sweet and it has a sunroof too!!!
I'd buy this all day long...
Nice Pony ! Maybe original 4-cyl to V8 will always be a tight car. Gr8 video too , hope i look that good at that age.hehehe
Horn if im not mistaken is on the signal arm its a push in i owned an 81' pretty much exact same.
Love that stock hood. Well done ride here.
My brother and I decided to go with my dad's S-10 one time when mom was at work and he wasn't home. I was about 14 like you. I had to back up the driveway to the road. The road was higher than the driveway and I killed the motor letting out on the clutch, and the truck rolled forward towards the house. Without the power steering or brakes I finally stopped inches from the corner of the house. I did manage to get the truck back to the carport but decided I didn't need to go to the convenience store that bad...LOL
Normally I am not a fan of the early year foxes, but man that is just one clean car, definitely a sleeper!
Definitely was in a major Collision
Damn, while encircling this Mustang, I thought I was looking at Japanese car from the late 80’s/early 90’s?!
Is that color Dark Chamois? Brings back so many memories. This one should be a bit quicker than my friends 80 Cobra in dark chamois with the 140 hp 255 cid. Looked like a 5.0 engine anyway😳
Same issues I had with the gauges on my 86 Capri 5.0
Fan shroud will probably fix the temp problem. I had a black and clean 79 hatch with a 351 Cleveland in it back in 2000. Sold it for 500bucks in 2005
Aw man that's sad! Bet you miss it. Selling a mustang is like loosing a child!
Thanks for another fine vid on a mouth watering STANG!!!
Sounds great nick👍not crazy about the year stang BUT the motor alone will sell it.
NICK TRY THE TURN SIGNAL LEVER FOR THE HORN THAT'S WHERE FORD PUT THEM, GEORGE FROM CINCINNATI.
MAPLE 🍁 MOTOR
YOU SELL BEAUTIFUL PRODUCTS ❤️ ESPECIALLY THAT GREEN 65 429 FALCON
She quick, real quick... lol... that's about how fast it will sell also. When I saw 351 in the title was hoping for a Cleveland... but a Windsor is no slouch either. Great car... solid price!
@@T.J.Caldwell318 today the Windsor is the better choice… lots of aftermarket support for it…. But back in the day… the Cleveland with 4v Heads were amazing for high rpm HP… today just more cool imo for ‘rarity’
@@krulux they have a lot of cleveland support now. the aussies love them. but they are more expensive because they make a ton of power and can handle a lot of abuse. but yes the 351C block is harder to find
351W blocks can handle a lot too.
make a "clevor"
A 2V Cleveland smokes a Windsor. Doesn’t even need to be a 4V
I hope it has the stronger 8.8 rear differential, the original 1982 7.5 wouldn’t last long.
Great test drive 🍀 got R done 😆✌️
Beautiful build !! just one thing. shame that they "drilled" into the dash to install a Monster tac
Nice hot rod, I love it has 351w.
The 351cleveland was a much faster engine. I had one in a 71 Torino GT.
I had a 1980 turbo charged Mustang. It was a real dog lol. It had a 135 horsepower with a 65 HP boost with the turbo. But it was a 4 speed manual. It was the car I learned how to drive a manual on. I bought it and didn't know how to drive it. lol The owner of the dealer had to drive me home in my new car. I look back on it now with fondness.
Had a dove gray 4 cyl. 4 speed, 1979 model notch. Drove her for several years. Miss her so much...
351 would make that little pony one mean machine. I like it.
There goes Nick again, shakin' his shifter. 😂
shoulda revvd it up some more, that thing sounded pretty fast
Well worth the money nice car and its fast and fun to drive just from your experience 😊😊😊
Very bad ass, it will sell quick, excellent price, 👍👍👍
Pretty sweet ride.
I'm in love with this car 🚗😍🤣
A golden oldie 👍
Awesome Stang !
Love seeing these. 😊
Drifts to the right, this is one Fox body i'd like to own.
Beautiful mustang
One of my favourite stangs
Great price guys if I could I would buy it
Here a chip, there a chip, everywhere a chip chip. Nice car.
Nice Ride
Underneath looks amazing
Gotta love the gateway classics commercial before your show. Damn
Nice lol I can’t control the commercials , might even see some of our rides on their lot lol. We have sold cars to them before… We sell cars to most of those dealers , kinna funny
Waiting for this test drive! Wife would kill me if I bought it...might be worth it!
@@T.J.Caldwell318 I’m an old guy, believe I’ve owned about 12 Mustangs. Truth is, the Mustang would kill me, lol.
I can guarantee that she is a BEAST
y'know, i never did care much for that grille style on the fox body, i prefer my 1990+ model fox body mustangs, but this one... its like this one just makes sense.. not sure why but i really like this one!
Maan you get the coolest cars on the planet. Ive seen more cool cars on your channel than Barret auctionblock .
This one, checks all my boxes!
Badazz car. Someone can get into a race car for 15grand🔥
Can’t build another one for $15k with what this one has
Classic.
She is ready to get it on!☺
Beautiful amazing looking Mustang thanks Nick have a very nice day mate
Thanks 👍
Beautiful car
We had a Clinch County sheriff car the same color. I would like to put some Clinch County sheriff dept decals on it and just show it.
We had them in Buncombe Co. N.C.
@Andrea Mills Yeah I would have to change out the wheels and go back with the regular Mustang alloy wheels, but I would like to do that. It would be pretty cool
@@223dmr7 yes
Sweet HOTROD 👍😎😎😎
I like that Stang he sassy ❤😂 drive the wheels off.👍😜
Beautiful car. My dream car. But the front end steering alignment is way way off.
Nice work, sounds good too
Appreciate it!
Nice!
