I still don't understand people who don't understand these two characters were MEANT to be together The author wrote their parallels for a reason. No other characters on the show or in the book have gone through similar struggles and circumstances. Some may not like them together for whatever reasons, but they are the point of A Song of Ice and Fire. They need each other. This isn't just about Jon, or just about Dany, it's a story about both of them and all the characters around them that affect their lives and help bring them closer together without even realizing it. You've captured their relationship beautifully and you deserve over a million likes for this video!

I have never seen characters with such strong parallels AND foils. Martin is a genius. And anyone who calls this pairing trite needs to buy a dictionary. Because this might follow the path of the hero, but it's actually quite unique. Beautiful video. I love how i come across these fanvids, and they're so different from each other. Some have warmth, others show angst. Yours (for me) is very crisp and clear in the storyline and in their convergance.

It was how I imagined the build up to their relationship and meeting would be. Season 7 was much too rushed to the point that it didn't seem realistic for their storyline. Their entire journey and the adversities they overcame was a lead up to them finally meeting, and yet the portrayal and reception was so lukewarm. This vid definitely gave me that fix I was craving that was missing from season 7. Rewatching this twice a day until season 8 comes :)

Okay. So. Let me try and get my words straight. Like you, I've loved the idea of them since book 1 and I have been desperate for them to meet ever since. To see it play out in the show was honestly so epic but the way you displayed the various parallel journeys the two have been on in this video is just phenomenal. I especially love the bit where you paralleled their heartbreak over Drogo and Ygritte and just that line from the song, "i need you so much closer"- so perfect. I was super excited when this showed up on my dash and even more stoked that it was 7 and a half minutes long because i will take as much Jon/Dany as I can get

Two main characters who are so much alike yet are seperated for so long doesn't happen very often and even though the show should have invested more time in building their inevitable relationship up, I still like it. Oh my god. Just oh my god. You always overwhelm me with your talent, but this was truly above and beyond anything I've ever seen. The parallels, the song choice, the editing... it was all so perfectly, methodically done, it flowed together so perfectly. ok. I'm going to try and form a coherent comment now that I've had a few days of watching it repeatedly. Yasmin....this is truly a masterpiece. I know you said you weren't the first to point out all these parallels, but I've never seen anyone put them together so masterfully and beautifully. the middle instrumental part of the song where you use voiceovers is absolutely masterful and flawless. the one that really gets me for some reason is the quote of sam saying "choices that might look wrong to others" over the shot of Dany when she traded drogon for the unsullied. LIKE. IDK that's just one example that entire part is just so beyond words. even just the way you show the parallels in cinematography with them. I can't even imagine the dedication it took to find all these voiceovers and parallels, there were honestly a ton in here that I hadn't considered. and okay this song is one of my all time favorites, so the mere fact that you vidded the entire thing for two characters that have spent probably only 2 hours total of screen time together is just so impressive. and can I just say, the swell at the end with the 'so come on' lyric is my favorite part of the song and I'm obsessed with your pacing there. I love that you chose shots that included more action, and shots of them actually finally being together. this is so beautiful. I haven't read the books. But I think the show did good too. Since season 1 I have been waiting for them to finally meet. This season it came true. And I loved it. Idc that they are related. This is a show with dragons, direwolves and zombies. Who cares about the relative status then. Btw marriage between A/N is legal in a lot countries so we are def. in a grey-zone . And I think it was written this way deliberately. Because it fits the theme thats present over the whole seasons. The choice between "what's right" and love.

I have been gearing myself up to comment on this piece of art and I still feel it will be insufficient but here I go Like I've already said to you, you shook me 8 seconds in with that voiceover and Jon at the same place as Dany with her dragons flying overhead. The images of Jon with the fire and Dany with the ice just, ughhh the parallels THE PARALLELS (all the imagery, the contrasts between the warm fires and the cold snow and them standing in those images surrounded by them just symbolising that ice and fire. Those parallel sweeping shots from 1:41 to 1:48 are just beautiful and just the FLOW of them is perfection (coupled with the voiceover as well) "The rhythm of my footsteps crossing' and that CUT BYE Ok but like how you show how they both slowly lost their way and then you start building up with the music and you literally make it look like their destination is each other with the paralleling shots you used (like them on the horses looking like they're going towards each other to name one of like a hundred just if I started listing them all I'd be here forever but let it be known I noticed every single gd one) Damn that shot at 3:18 with the PARALLEL HAAANNNDDSSSSSS God the voiceovers, showing how they both have all these people who are absolutely committed and dedicated to them and will follow them no matter what and how they inspire such FIERCE loyalty in those people just wow "you have a gentle heart" "you have a good heart" and my heart is gone God and the way you use like Jon's voiceover with shots of Dany and vice versa is so clever and just shows how fucking similar they are in how they want to rule Their "rebirth" scenes and that voiceover wow I am shook Ending the voiceovers with Danerys saying theyre going to defeat the Night King together and finally having all those tender, soft moments of them WOW THAT BUILD UP AT THE END AND ALL THAT FIRE AND ICE IMAGERY AND THE WALL COMING DOWN WHILE THEY'RE HAVING SEX DONT THINK I DONT SEE THE SYMBOLISM HERE WOW Ok but like to find all these tiny tiny moments and parallels i cant even imagine the time and effort you put into that and getting it all looking as fucking perfect as this (as with all your videos and the pride you take in them which i can always feel) is just inspiring and I just wish I had the patience like you. The flow of this is just so smooth and wonderful and I truly did not even feel like this video was basically 8 minutes long like i was holding my breath the entire time because I as just so transfixed by it. They are effortlessly stronger together. They balance each other - ice and fire, yin and yang, tempestuous and calm. Okay. So. Let me try and get my words straight. Like you, I've loved the idea of them since book 1 and I have been desperate for them to meet ever since. To see it play out in the show was honestly so epic but the way you displayed the various parallel journeys the two have been on in this video is just phenomenal. I especially love the bit where you paralleled their heartbreak over Drogo and Ygritte and just that line from the song, "i need you so much closer"- so perfect. I was super excited when this showed up on my dash and even more stoked that it was 7 and a half minutes long because i will take as much Jon/Dany as I can get
this is a masterpiece, everyone should watch it, not only jonerys shippers. Your creation embodied every details, every steps of the two characters towards their union . oh my god i can't believe you vidded all 8 minutes of this song! this is honestly breathtaking... i absolutely love the intro, those contrasted shots of jon's arm by the fire and then dany's hand in snow, you already had me shook. i'm so so impressed by all the parallels and how you covered their entire journeys, not just used scenes from the past few episodes. and as usual, your editing is so soft and perfectly paced. this is the jonerys video i've been waiting for!

Yasmin! I .... there's no words at how amazing your edits are. The parallels you showed throughout the video, the care in which you selected the sound bytes, its all so EPIC. There's so much in this and it never feels overwhelming or rushed or anything like that. You definitely conveyed their relationship so much. What I love so much about this too is that even without ever interacting together in Season 1-6, you get the sense of their connection? I know these two were always fated to meet but damn if you never read the books and they seen this they'd be like OMG IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE (lol)! Just so so good girl.

Two main characters who are so much alike yet are seperated for so long doesn't happen very often and even though the show should have invested more time in building their inevitable relationship up, I still like it. I'm interested to see how GRRM makes it work on the books, that will certainly be done much better. Great video nonetheless!

Oh my god. Just oh my god. You always overwhelm me with your talent, but this was truly above and beyond anything I've ever seen. The parallels, the song choice, the editing... it was all so perfectly, methodically done, it flowed together so perfectly. You showed just how similar Jon and Dany are, they are two sides of the same coin, they need each other, they found each other in spite of all the odds against them. They are truly at the center of this story (which doesn't mean other parts aren't important, obviously) and you showed that so clearly in your vid. I just. ok. I'm going to try and form a coherent comment now that I've had a few days of watching it repeatedly.
Yasmin....this is truly a masterpiece. I know you said you weren't the first to point out all these parallels, but I've never seen anyone put them together so masterfully and beautifully. the middle instrumental part of the song where you use voiceovers is absolutely masterful and flawless. the one that really gets me for some reason is the quote of sam saying "choices that might look wrong to others" over the shot of Dany when she traded drogon for the unsullied. LIKE. IDK that's just one example that entire part is just so beyond words. even just the way you show the parallels in cinematography with them. I can't even imagine the dedication it took to find all these voiceovers and parallels, there were honestly a ton in here that I hadn't considered.
and okay this song is one of my all time favorites, so the mere fact that you vidded the entire thing for two characters that have spent probably only 2 hours total of screen time together is just so impressive. and can I just say, the swell at the end with the 'so come on' lyric is my favorite part of the song and I'm obsessed with your pacing there. I love that you chose shots that included more action, and shots of them actually finally being together. I don't know what else I can say I love it so so so so much it may be my favorite part after the instrumental/voiceover part.

This is by far the best Game of Thrones fan video I’ve ever seen. I also love Jon Snow - The White Wolf but this video just captures the mirrored struggles Jon and Daenerys individually endured. I will never accept the ending of Season 8 and I want George RR Martin to release the Winds of Winter as soon as possible.

this is so beautiful. I haven't read the books. But I think the show did good too. Since season 1 I have been waiting for them to finally meet. This season it came true. And I loved it. Idc that they are related. This is a show with dragons, direwolves and zombies. Who cares about the relative status then. Btw marriage between A/N is legal in a lot countries so we are def. in a grey-zone . And I think it was written this way deliberately. Because it fits the theme thats present over the whole seasons.

Like I've already said to you, you shook me 8 seconds in with that voiceover and Jon at the same place as Dany with her dragons flying overhead.
The images of Jon with the fire and Dany with the ice just, ughhh the parallels THE PARALLELS (all the imagery, the contrasts between the warm fires and the cold snow and them standing in those images surrounded by them just symbolising that ice and fire.
Those parallel sweeping shots from 1:41 to 1:48 are just beautiful and just the FLOW of them is perfection (coupled with the voiceover as well)

Ok but like to find all these tiny tiny moments and parallels i cant even imagine the time and effort you put into that and getting it all looking as fucking perfect as this (as with all your videos and the pride you take in them which i can always feel) is just inspiring and I just wish I had the patience like you. The flow of this is just so smooth and wonderful and I truly did not even feel like this video was basically 8 minutes long like i was holding my breath the entire time because I as just so transfixed by it.
