If a company doesn't want "knock offs" made of their products they should think twice of getting them made in China. 😉 So that's that.

The shock deal worked for a day, then made a mess of grease to clean up,it's not made for noodles or grease

I agree with the ethics on the video, but about the licensing, while lots of people keep saying it's expensive, they won't say how expensive it is, because FMS has Toyota licensed bodies and they keep their prices low, same with Tamiya that sells thousands of licensed cars and bodies for the TT02 and Cc02 and the cars keep the prices low too. A Licensed Subaru Impreza TT02 is barely 150€ and similar price for hundreds of their different bodied models (Toyota, Volkswagen, Ford, Honda, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche...)
The Tamiya licenses are a good point. Not sure what kind of “deal breaker” the licensing is. I’d think if it was cheap, companies like racent would pay for it.

They say the drive shaft is rubbing, mine came with new metal universal an not near rubbing, I guess the company has fixed that problem, and Don't put grease in the shocks,it just make a mess ,other words this is a real nice knock off,I can upgrade this easy, I want to wait,an see 👀 if the motor will hold up,plus the owner manual doesn't tell you much plus mine doesn't even match what I have,it's a cheap rc,but nice

Total copy, but I could have missed something. Is this the exact geometry of one of the SCX24 models? Same link lengths drive shaft etc? I would find it hard to believe the price difference is in license alone. Why is it $80? Why is scx $150? Certainly not volume. I think the price difference between a Deadbolt and a C10 might be a good indicator of a license cost. I think of a Deadbolt (one of only two models I don't own) as an unlicensed International Scout.
The racent is JLU/c10/bronco front links on the front and deadbolt rear links on the rear. So just a tad longer than a JLU/c10/bronco

And yes, I like the Racent Jeep. I think it is actually better than the SCX24 Jeep in a lot of ways for the money. It is waterproof already winning. The jeep body looks way better even without the jeep name. And the overall power for what you get out of the electronics and a lot quieter. and most of you guys upgrade your mini crawlers and they’re supposed to be better. It seems like they are made the way they are and do a good job for what you get. And upgrading them a lot of the time just makes it worse. If Axial makes better crawlers that were more quiet and worth the price, then, maybe they would be as good as everybody says. In my reality FMS is winning and better. And thank you again and sorry for my ranting. Once again awesome videos.
The racent does have some redeeming quality’s for sure. I just wish it wasn’t a blatant knockoff.

I did the same thing to one set of my double barrels they work a lot smoother now
Yeppers! Most shocks should use some lube.
Yeah that’s what I do also to my shocks, I use a toothpick with a little green slime and coat the inside cylinders

Got my first scx24. Think I want all the mini rc. The long wheel base gladiator is next. Do you think this is worth buying? Also does scx24 parts fit?
The long wheelbase scx24 gladiator is the same parts for 99% as all the other scx. It’s a fantastic truck for sure!!!

It was just ball diff grease I think and yes, the body will fit.

I like a lot of your videos, they are good. I don’t comment often, but with all the comparisons and copy talk going on. I just wanted to say please stick to fun videos, comparing trucks, crawling off road or just driving and having fun, and showing and assembling things is great. Please don’t end up like Kevin Talbot or the RC Sparks guy. It seems to me they got so popular. They became Hollywood and forgot about their regular lives and friends and took fame and fortune instead. I have watched a lot of RC videos a lot a lot. I thought RC videos were made to be fun and experience, learning, and imagination, I hope. I everybody needs to stop comparing and stop trying to think that something is better than something else. When that is someone else’s reality or opinion. Everybody’s reality is different and everybody likes what they like or think is good. I am not trying to rant, but you said that also and you seem to be good at it but Liszt talk and videos and straight to the point is always good. I have been told a lot of the same things and I just want people to make good videos and understand everything is what it is and it always will be. Especially if there’s money involved. I am always late to the party and everybody is still my friend. You know what I mean, and thanks again for all your great videos.

I mean, i think it would be a cool & fun budget build. Although a $80 price point is too close to the real brands when you catch a sale. At a $50-60 price, l would buy it. I was actually looking for the "T brand" mini crawler clone for a buddy. Then i stumbled on another rc video Ken covered that i was looking into, lol.
Also, this is gone from Amazon and eBay, but not from Chinese selling apps.

Hahah. Yeah… they should design their own bodies and sell em. Same quality but no need for a license.
They should’ve just done that initially. I imagine only a few people will be buying these since it comes with the added tax of the junk internals. Had they sold the body alone they probably could have had a decent chunk of customers. What they should do is make a hilux body. I think it’d be a hot seller.

The "TOTAL COPY" is only worth it in scale body details. Not as cartoonish as the Axial Jeep Licenced body. Just the scale body and lights are acceptable to me. Perhaps the somewhat usable stock-like parts. Not worth $80!!
Yeah, until axial releases more hard bodies. Then we should support those licensed bodies.

no where does it say its a "jeep" secondly the chassis is not at all the same its completely different than the scx 24 very similar yes but not the same that is like saying wow there is only so many ways you can design a chassis of course they are going to be similar just like in real vehicles! get over it Scx are made in china as well!
It literally uses the same molds for all the parts. Also something doenst need to say “Jeep” to be a copyright infringement. The Racent is literally a copy of the scx24. Every part of it.
@TheShopMiniRC its not sure what you are talking about, dude! Very similar is not the same as another took them both appart the chassis metal rails are different the Racent is hard shell and none of the parts are exactly the same! But i could give a rats ass if tgey did they are both chinese made!

Sounds like you are making a big deal out of the licensing. I could care less. Stellantis owns Jeep, they are in Italy and the can sue Chinese companies, not my problem.

You are free to do any reviews, rants, opinions on your own channel, and are free to watch or not watch any of my content.
