    Some manufacturers are strict on what you can do with a truck. Kenworth for example will not allow Saber to add AWD. They consider it false advertising. I wouldn't be surprised if that's why the International HX 520 doesn't have raised suspension.
    Two trucks I've wanted to see buffed have been the Freightliner M916A1 and Azov 5319. 200L fuel tank is not enough, I give them a 260L fuel tank.
    Given the power creep in the game I'd say you could give both Ank's a 270L fuel tank like the Voron D.

    • @panther-nk2hn
      @panther-nk2hn Před 8 dny

      I'd love to see them buff the Freightliner at all. As it is, I think I've bought it once and used it never, it just doesn't meet the requirements in a way that other trucks don't.

      Azov 5319 can have that special addon with 350l of fuel and 200 something spear parts, but that addon is so heavy, so you are left wit one slot bed and you have to houl regular trailers which are either small (2 slot) or impossible to maneuver (4 slot), and Azov 5 is not powerfull enougj to haul itself, that addon and 4 slot trailer with any cargo you put on it. So it really cpuld do with an extra roof rack and 100liters extra would be marvelous :)

    Great points as always and well thought-out suggestions for rebalance. I feel dead axes need to be rethought from scratch mechanically - e.g. dead axle spreads load and enables better ground travel by a dramatic margin, or else gives a simple large fuel economy bonus (when down) at the expense of the trapping you often see. That gives players a reason to use it on a situational reason, and weigh up the cost/advantages.
    Similarly, I feel that just tweaking fuel amount/economy to make the trucks more or less the same dilutes any originality of the vehicles. I'd prefer it if they kept high fuel use, but instead gave the truck far better performance, e.g. mud clearing, centre of gravity, GVM loading, traction or wheel/axle size. Players can then choose high-performance but thirsty trucks if they want to roar though, a bit like a bigger version of ANK38.
    Sprinter def needs a 'long range/support' conversion to make it any use at all outside racing. Look at the back of it - you could fit so much fuel, tools and spares in there. Adding a hitch would give this so much more utility.
    Talking flaws, it's criminal that Caterpillar 745C does not also have long bed option, or _something_ to make it stand out (asides from mud/snow travel) as a use case. At least throw on a tow hitch and some tyre chains. I believe it made your 'most worthless truck' list along with Sprinter because there's nothing they do that another truck does not do better, faster and easier.

    One truck you forgot to mention is the Burlak 6x6. The Burlak 6x6 just needs a A to S+ engine, at the moment it cannot pull any heavy cargo by itself. It just feels like it struggles, it’s an ok off-roader but it works great in Immandra especially in ice patches. The tires it has I wish they were available on other trucks that don’t have chained tires. I love studded tires. It can pull empty scout trailers, but when it comes to the heavy type pull trailers. It literally struggles, I love the idea of a truck scout in the scout class itself. The crane is literally useless, you can maybe haul one slot of planks. To get it going like to make it feel like it has actual speed in deep snow or muddy terrain, low+ with diff lock on will it make it feel a little bit fast. I know this video is mainly for discussion, but the developers really need to fix this issue. Not just release it & see if it’s allowed to be modded or not. The roof rack idea for any truck is great & just give awd to the highway trucks. Give us the option to have diff lock on or always on. One thing I want is the look of the truck to be clean, I don’t want dirty windshields or scratched up & faded paint. Just a nice clean shiny paint job.

    • @panther-nk2hn
      @panther-nk2hn Před 8 dny

      Just looked at the Burlak in-game. That is a really neat scout, with different hitch options so you can pick which kind of trailers to tow. But if what you're saying is true, it doesn't really matter if the truck can't pull anything anyway.

    Things I would like to see:
    Pacific P16 - Snow Chains - I love this truck, but can only really use it in non-snowy/icy maps because without AWD or Chains it can be bought to a halt on icy tarmac. Realistically you'd be able to put chains over those tires in real life, so why not here!
    Ford F750 - The Ability to pull Scout Trailers - I would gladly even trade off the ability to pull large trailers for the ability to pull scouting trailers with the F750. The F750 would be so much more useful as a scout, and could even be the ultimate scout, if it could use things like the Prototype Radar Trailer. It's a shame to have to leave a great scout truck at home because it can't tow a scout trailer, especially when we now have another trucks with the ability to pull both!

    • @panther-nk2hn
      @panther-nk2hn Před 8 dny

      Kinda funny you say that about the 750, I have two of them and they're really the only scouts I use anymore (sometimes I break out the Loadstar 1700 if both are occupied).
      I think it would be incredible if they allowed us to swap hitches like with the Burlak, but I think that hitch is probably the only thing holding back the 750 from being completely broken.

  • @zbastian

    A lot of these trucks were simply powercrept by newer trucks. Big ass mudtires with huge fuel tanks and supplies (Mastodon, Kenworth, FEMM), they really change the dynamic of the game. It feels weird going back to normal sized truck tires after using unstoppable trucks like those. Sure, they have their downsides, but 3-4 slot beds and 70" tires compensate for them.

    Not sure if they exist IRL, though from a mechanical standpoint, they absolutely could exist, just have the axle differential drop down onto a gear on the drive shaft.

      I did a little reading back when I got the free dead-axle truck (Cat CT681), apparently the dead axle is to reduce road pressure. It makes sense, heavy loads will put a lot of weight on 6 tires, and I remember seeing something about how most tanks aren't road safe cuz they crush tread marks into the asphalt, something similar may happen with trucks.

    I agree with almost all of these points but not rlly all.
    The Sprinter NEEDS more supplies in the back specially 2 wheels which blatantly has the plastic bodywork dents for,giving it more supplies would make it a rlly good scout even tho that will be the only thing it can ever do.
    Points like 5600 and Boar needing more fuel i completely agree with, several trucks need more fuel tbh in either racks of some sort or tank increases.
    Other optimizations like the P12 gettinf beds or other such trcuks that could blatantly get beds but don't have should get them hell even Forester should imo have it.
    I disagree however with the W990 or the International getting raised suspensions or awd and so on same for Royal for exemple getting diff lock, not all trucks need nor should have everything imo.
    HOWEVER all highway trucks except w990 which has big unique good tires NEED the GMC treatment to get awd and diff lock. This counters the point i made with w990 but other than that all highway trucks have weak engine and small wheels so the only way to make them even remotely useful is giving them awd, diff or both meanwhile w990 yes it has the dead axle but the damn thing is like the P16 and can go through hell and beyond and never stop.
    That being said the whole game needs a rebalance/health update that we'll never get cuz the greedy trash this game has as devs and publishers only care about making paid DLCs not improve the game in any way.

      @justinlynch3 Před 27 dny

      Nah P12 can run out of power and bind up with a big crane, I've tried it.
      Truck is actually surprisingly useful with long logs. I dunno about crane + logs (if it has that option) but hauling just a load of long logs, or having the spare tire rack + long logs, it can actually manage it.
      The big tires + no frame/bumpers to hook up on stuff must make the long log trailer fairly easy to pull. I've seen other videos say logs are some of the heavier cargo, but despite that it seems to be the only job the P12 is capable of. Big crane, it runs out of power. Fuel tanker, it runs out of power. It's been so long I don't actually remember off hand if it has saddle high, but if it does I'm sure it'll still run out of power. But logs, for whatever reason the P12 will actually pull logs.
      Same goes for the Derry 4520. It might not like towing a semi trailer, but switch it over to logs and it's actually quite capable.
