Sublime!
One of my favorite Advent hymns. Thank you!!
This song is Advent for me. Always moves me to tears.
Same! Sort of wish I hadn't found it just now. lol.
Same. It's my third favorite hymn. Has the Church been given a greater hymnist than Charles Wesley? I am doubtful.
@@cw9817 may I know your first two favourites?
Completely agree on the second point. And understand the first one.
Amazing, and I'm still listening on the 29th ❤
Beautiful hymn! Thomas Olivers did an amazing job setting Charles Wesley's words in absolutely divine music! Of course, that it is presented as the close of this Advent Carol service with pipe organ accompanying a full choir and congregation makes it all the more amazing.
Am really in love with this song
Well Done! Grateful for this now at this time of instability and uncertainty.
What a glorious, splendid sound!! The words tell the story ever so well, if taken in through the heart. The setting of those words merges the soul with the hope we share in that second coming. "With what rapture!"
Thank you ever so much for making this available to those of us far and wide. Bless us all. DJ in Knoxville Tn
Magnificent! Flawless in every respect. Thanks for posting this.
The saying goes: Queen Elisabeth II, enjoyed this! I I too; we try to learn it in our Choir in Oslo, with English text!
My favorite part of the carol service every year
A descant in almost every verse. Unbelievable!
Absolutely spectacular! This is what it is all about.

Go from strength to strength blessed hymns to God amen thank you.
Glory to Jesus Christ the King who is to come!!!
The Amen was flawless

A few years ago I bought one of my favourite CDs. Trinity College with Double descants…..but good grief what a sound on this version. Choir and organ turned up to 11 !
Just what the doctor prescribed!!!
I thought the choir director was going to lift off into the air.
Nice descant
Very stirring. 🙏
This is not a familiar hymn to me, but it is just beautiful.
this what I hope heaven is like
It will be more than this, praise Jesus😊
Hallelujah!!!
Can someone share the descant plz??
So amazing - Trinity has the best tradition for double descants!
That’s what it is!
