  • Looking for easy no stress Slow Stitching that can be completed in one sitting? Let me help! I’ve put together a project that can build on itself square by square. I’ll demonstrate two different ways to create this all over pattern and show how to combine this method with straight running stitches for an even more complex result. I also show how I stitch the squares together to create a larger project.
    Slow stitching this way is so relaxing because you don’t have to think about following a complex pattern or worry about your stitches being perfect. It’s all about free flowing relaxing creativity. Stitch Along with Me! #slowstitching

    It’s a sunny Wednesday morning here in England and I’ve watched your video while having breakfast. I must give this slow stitching a try, I have a tremor so this project will be ideal for me as there is no exactness to it. Also I must comment on your soothing relaxing voice, love your handiwork. Thank you.

      @@jenniferwhitfield4657 Thank you! I’m glad you’re giving slow stitching a try! I find thinner cottons and a soft batting to cause the least strain on my fingers and hands. You’re right, there is no exactness to it and you can go at your own pace. Enjoy!😊🧵🪡

    This was so perfect for me! I struggle with creativity, stitching evenly and lack of materials and funds. Which I find interferes with the meditave aspect of slow stitching. So thank you so much.

    Jo this is a game changer🎉 I'm not sure if I'm the only one? But for me seed stitching takes constant concentration making sure that every stitch is a different direction, taking one stitch at a time.
    Your method is fantastic, less thought and just more of that meditative feeling, knowing it will work out regardless, its almost like neurographic stitching (I would love to see you do a video on that).
    I love seed stitching, but it can be a bit laborious at times, which means I don't do it as often as I want. Thank-you so much for sharing this new technique it is now my go to when I want to make something with seed stitch, it will also be great for those of us who dont have the best eyesight at times. Also loved seeing your little furry stitch buddy, he is adorable. Big hugs from down under x😊

    Really beautiful! I love having a project that is more freeform and doesn’t require focusing on a pattern. A couple questions:
    - Why use pearl cotton? Is it a certain effect you’re after? Would the same result come from machine sewing thread or a strand of embroidery floss?
    - how do you pick what kind of needle you use? I tend to choose needles at random 😂
    - Are you stitching through the batting as well? Or only on the top layer
    PS. Your dog is so cute

    • @peaceofpi-studio
      @peaceofpi-studio  Před měsícem

      @@zoekim1868 Thanks! I chose pearl cotton for the thickness and twist. If you check out my other videos you’ll see I usually use 2 strands of the 6 stranded embroidery floss. For that I use embroidery needles or milliners needles. I talk about that in this video at about the 2 minute mark czcams.com/video/hTznSbPTELM/video.html
