Malaysia consists fourteen states. Nine of the states are Malay States and all of the state has their own rulers that we called Sultan. But there are two state we called the ruler as Raja (King) which from Perlis and another one we called Yang Di-Pertuan Besar (King) from Negeri Sembilan. The non Malays ruler states are Penang, Melaka, Sabah and Sarawak and these four states have Yang Di-Pertua Negeri/Governor. They have same responsible like other ruler but they are not able to become a King of Malaysia or Yang Di-Pertuan Agong because they are appointed by Yang Di-Pertuan Agong/King of Malaysia. It different if we compared the ruler of nine Malays States because they are of their own royal lineage or their ancestor has created a state which this monarchy from generation to generation.
For your information, Malaysia is the most unique monarchy in the world. We have the oldest unbroken chain of Royal Monarch in the world since 788 CBE. Older than any European monarch or Japanese. So the Malaysian King/Yang Di-Pertuan Agong is formally elected to a five year term by from nine rulers of Malays States, whom form the Conference of Rulers. All of the King/Sultan in Malaysia from nine Malay States have rotation to become Yang Di-Pertuan Agong/King of Malaysia once in five year. So our King is actually King of the Kings.

6. The Sultan of Kedah and His Queen Sultanah Maliha.
7. The Sultan of Perak and his Queen Tuanku Zara.
8. The Sultan of Selangor and his Queen Norashikin.
9. The Sultan of Terengganu and His Queen Sultanah Nur Zahirah.
10. The Sultan of Brunei

Not to sound arrogant. Back in few years ago. I worked in Top hotel in Malaysia.*Name cannot revealed* i served the Agong/King of malaysia. But at that time he was still a Crown Prince of Pahang.
I served King of Johor and Crown Prince of Johor.
I served King of Perak. King of Selangor. Princess of Negeri Sembilan. I served a lot of their Royal family and most of the Crown prince and princess. Last but not least, id once served Sultan Brunei. Amazing experience.

Thank you so much pretty lady its so welcoming to introduce the monarchy of malay kings including of Brunei kings thats why they guided by so many people. In malaysia we have 14 state in each side in malaysia every outfit is based on their state im from state called Perlis my king wear aqua green so awesome but the main color is yellow for royal in malaysia we love our Agong his son is the one u said handsome Agong is the big boss of kings such like that hehe im not really good at heritage but these our pride in our heart malaysia is lead by prime minister but the power is from the Kings 💕 nobody can touch that things. The best things is our 16th Agong is so humble and kindness in every outfit the most important is their hat which is we called “tengkolok” and they will bring w sword that we called “keris” and also the porch. These heritage must need to retained for future generations in malaysia 🇲🇾 every country has their own heritage keep it as the symbol of unity okay love from malaysia 🌹💕
