I also allow myself to have "plain days". For me I think it reflects my life better and that's what I wanted my journal to be in the first place. It is my life archived. I can't be pretentious. It's usually just on days where Im too tired or drained to sprinkle deco on my spreads. I can always doodle on those after ^_^ the only thing i add sometimes is tcmc washi lol I call it my no stress deco, it just works!

I appreciate the "plain" days - I've had a few plainer days recently and wondered whether I should back plan and add more stickers/washi, and seeing your plain days was very reassuring. I got the sense from the video that August was a very stressful and tough month and I'm so sorry that it turned out that way. Even though your business might be "small" in terms of operation, it is also large in terms of sales and international reach, and I'm sure it's a lot to take on, along with everything else going on in your life. I also wanted to apologize that on the day of the sale I had posted a comment speculating that perhaps the throttle was something that you had put in as a way to keep the site from crashing with orders, so that everyone would still be able to access the site and get their order in. At the time, I was in and out of the throttle in about a minute and just trusted that everyone would get to keep their spot in line so I meant no ill will with my comment, but knowing of others' experiences with the throttle I now realize that probably compounded with others' criticisms and I'd like to apologize for making that speculation.
I love watching your videos regardless of whether your pages are more decorated or basic. I'm waiting for Jet Pens to get the new Hobonichis. I think I've decided to get another Cousin. I'm determined to journal daily! I'm loving the stickers that I have and looking forward to the new ones that I ordered. It's always nice to see a flip through, especially the reality of life like things get busy and you don't have a chance to decorate, I think we can all relate to that ❤️ Also if it makes you feel better about your "plain" days I have many blank pages and also pages where I've just stuck post it notes on the page and also lots of pages with notes just scribbled quickly in pencil! My cousin pages can often be pretty messy but I was flipping through yesterday and I do like the fact that it's true to life, I see it and remember like "oh yeah that was the day I had no time /energy /didn't feel like planning" etc. Also I find this classic Dr Seuss quote always helps me related to any negative comments : "be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind" 💖

I used to test Gryffindor but now I'm Hufflepuff (tbh I think it's cause of how badly I wanted to be in Gryffindor lol) I def feel like I fit Hufflepuff better but it wasn't "cool" to be Hufflepuff back when, hehe now I love it! Hi, Helen. Loved your spreads and all of your handwriting, doodles, decorations, etc. as usual. I hope things have leveled out for you and hope your dad’s feeling better. I watched your packing videos, and you put a lot of time and effort into each package. I don’t know how you do it. LOL I wonder if you’ll have to change some of the personal touches the bigger your store gets. I for one would totally understand. People would have to be willing to not have all of the little touches, but maybe there would be a trade off like really speedy processing and shipping or something. Maybe you’d have to mass produce or outsource but items wouldn’t sell out. I don’t run a small business (although I’ve worked for small businesses exclusively for decades) and I don’t envy your position when “the business” = YOU. {{{hugs}}} I genuinely wish there was something I could do to help. In the words of Kris Jenner, “You’re doing amazing, sweetie!” Hang in there!

Unfortunately yes, for example, our wrists were starting to get random pains and sores so we no longer write the thank you notes :( But as a solution, I have designed some labels for everyone who packs orders with their portrait to stick onto the orders! The rainbow emoti heads washi look so good as headers. Helen was it a conscious design decision so the colors change matched up with the column width? ‘Cause if so you rock with that level of detail.
I got the Weeks Mega in Lagoon as well and I went for the Jibun Techo Days vs the Hobonichi Cousin this year. I have never been able to fill a cousin which is why I thought the Techo Days would be perfect for me. Loved the sushi washi!

I love your videos and this was the perfect way for me to start my week. Two questions, if I may! 1. How do you stop your pen from smudging when writing your daily entries? I have the Energel Clena and it just becomes a huge mess. I really want to do daily journalling, but it's just sooooo frustrating! 2. You seem to do really well with time blocking. How do you keep track of your hours, ie. how do you know when it's time to switch to another task? I get caught up in whatever I'm doing and before I know it the whole day has gone and I've been unproductive LOL! Thank you so much - love you and your work
