I prefer the glowing one on the right. It is my favorite kind of emerald because it seems to be glowing within. Any gemstone can be shiny and clear, but only emeralds have that otherworldly glow. I guess I’m lucky I love the less expensive one! Oh, how I love it…
Both stones are absolutely gorgeous in their own way! I adore the one on the right and on the left for different reasons. At first, I thought the vivid green one was lab created because of how perfect it looks! My favorite emeralds are ones that have inclusions in them. Kind of like the ones that have a vine garden appearance.

Unsure but the crap one is maybe usd 50nper carat and the nice one over usd 1000 per carat but depends on treatment too

Not at all! Actually, if you were walking down the street wearing it I would know right away it was an emerald. The other one is still gorgeous, but I would figure it was a tourmaline or a lab created stone (not that there is anything wrong with either) versus a natural emerald. I just purchased an emerald for myself and it looks a mixture between the two of them shown here.

Are emeralds a good investment? Like to sell later
NO. Stones are not a good investment period. If you take an engagement ring to a pawn shop for instance..majority of them will only give you the gold or silver or platinum melt price for that ring. Your best bet for investment is buy gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. And I mean like buying American eagles or scrap gold, etc. Jewelry is not good because the markup is so high. BUT...your gold and silver jewelry are an investment in the fact that if you need to sell it..you always can. Emeralds should be bought for looks..just cause you love it.

Yep. I love emeralds but I love them all and I don't have all kinds of money to spend. So yup..this poor person would buy either of those emeralds if they are the right price..no shame.
