My family moved to Las Vegas when I was five. Without any exaggeration every couple years someone has came out with a grand plan for high speed train service to Southern California. At least back then we had regular train service. Oh, and by the way, I’m 68 now. So don’t expect me to hold my breath waiting.
The only reason I have a bit (just a bit) higher hopes for this one is it's a private company this time. Brightline just opened their Miami to Orlando high speed rail route in Florida with plans to expand to Tampa so they've at least proven they can do it, and not a decade late at 10 times the original budget like government projects tend to be.
You must have seen so many changes in those 60 years sir!
Airplanes are more practical and faster
@@trevorgwelch7412 I take it you haven’t been in the Vegas airport on a Friday night. Flying is faster until you add in the two hours it takes to get out of the airport. But I’m sure not sold that a train terminal will be much better.
@@biggslighter1950 Europe maybe. China not at all. Most of their lines are in huge deficit and are only functioning due to the government. Only few lines are actually profitable, those that connect huge huge cities with more than 10 million population. Those kind of cities do not exist in USA
I never felt any regrets of moving out here from Chicago. It's an exciting town with people coming from everywhere of the country and the world.
Chicago don't have mountains and it was humid as fock when I last went there...although they have an A+ skyline😄
Both places seem miserable
F1 racing results in the chopping down of the trees in front of the Bellagio fountain. This will be great for the Las Vegas environment.
Oh yeah, that's a bad idea. The last thing Vegas needs is fewer trees to keep it cool. Not that that pavement isn't hellish anyway. The only saving grace is the places you can cross the Strip via bridges. Otherwise it's just a long deathtrap.
Some people said, people are moving out of Vegas to Michigan. They said it has More trees there.
@@travisli-rufus1949 lots of cities are planting more trees because even a small number make a massive difference to the local heat level. Vegas is just weird though. Wouldn't surprise me if the newer developments will be using techniques like that to improve comfort. Not to mention they tend to look better than concrete and metal. :D
@@jonevansauthor At least you have what, 9 months of weather that is not all that bad?
@@justinbryson352 I usually go to Vegas in November and as an Englishman even then it's too hot so as far as I'm concerned, the weather is bad there pretty much year round. :D
Seriously though, no-one wants to be in direct son and the Bellagio fountain area is horrible. The thing itself is quite impressive to watch though, every time you think the water has gone as high as it could, the music hits a crescendo and it goes higher. It's not as impressive as the Treasure Island ship fight was though.
The ugly room photo at 2:31 is for the “remodeled” Rio casino hotel not Fontainebleau lmao.
And he also mistakenly included pic from Resorts World!
i also think he said fontainebleau is "north vegas"
I’ve been 6 times this year alone I love Vegas man 😂🙏🏾
Wait you gone to Vegas alone?
How many wives you got?
Gawd I love living in this boom town. Makes the construction nerd in me so giddy.
It's a whole new world
Now If Only They Could Extend That High Speed Rail Line To CHICAGO, Now That Would Be Something.
I have lived and worked in Las Vegas Nevada for the past 28 years and I love, love love my city! I have been able to build a wonderful life here and made a very good living and built a solid retirement plan by relocating here from upstate New York (the snow and humidity Mecca), the reason I moved was to start a new and fresh life where I could provide a better financial future for myself and my young son. That is a fly what I was able to do! Vegas is a city like no other! We continue to grow and prosper every year since I arrived here! Please come as a visitor because we want to treat our tourist well and I can honestly say that I love our visitors and welcome you here with open arms. Thanks for posting this wonderful video of my great city and showing how much we have to offer now and well into the future!💕hugs, Paula from vegas
Not enough water to support that dream economy
Vegas water supply secured for years to come
@@RasiRobiI’m sure it is except the powers within are keeping that water source top secret information
@@robertg1101The secret plan is to use all the fresh water in Lake Mead but send LV's recycled sewer water to Calif & Mexico as their share. But don't tell anyone, top secret!
@@robertg1101Vegas is actually pretty efficient now that most the lawns are zero scaped or artificial. The big casinos use their own private ground wells, as do many of the golf courses. Water is a problem, no doubt, but Vegas has done a pretty incredible job to help. I live on the headwaters of the river in Colorado, there's a lot causing problems that nobody seems to be willing to admit and talk about here in CO. I'm sorry for the desert dwellers. I'll never understand why we chose to build two mammoth cities in the desert to begin with, but that ship is long gone now
I believe they are starting a baseball stadium as well
The plan is the Oakland A's are moving to Vegas.
I love living in Las Vegas!!!
I've been here 15 years & I've never left .. I love it also! 🖤

Question what’s it like living there ? Am talking about the good the bad & the ugly ?
@@brotherkareem181 the only bad is constant construction. Orange cones everywhere. Everything else is good, it’s a great city
All my mom's family lives in summerlin and I visit often. It's nice, but I couldn't live there year round. Compared to other cities though, the people in Vegas are pretty great, it's a good culture
The Fountainbleau is f-i-n-a-l-l-y set to be completed. A lot of fits and starts. Resorts World across the street is nice. It won't be much different or nicer than Wynn or Resorts World. Wish them luck.
Winn/Encore has pretty nice rooms. Curious how Fontainebleau compares.
Im a carpenter currently working at Fontaine Bleau, who also helped work on Resorts World, yet have visited both RW and Wynn many times and I can assure you FB is much nicer and much larger then both of those properties. FB will be the biggest, and nicest property on the strip by far.

Las Vegas the Dubai of the USA lol.
That’s so true 😆
@babyblu3576Take a rest bro
just build the Dubsi City resort at Vegas
And just where will the water come from for these huge structures and resorts? They will water their golf courses, fill their swimming pools and fountains while residents in NV and CA must ration their drinking water.
Exactly
Totally agree - absolutely short-sighted concept…. But Las Vegas IS the most water conscious- minded city in the US for its size. They do a tremendous job of recycling almost all the water used by citizens and visitors. And have consistently put back nearly as much recycled water into the watershed as is used. “Jacobs life in Vegas” has a great vid concerning this on his YT feed.
Lake Powell 😏
In reality they’ll just tap into all the NorCal resources sucking cascades and Sierra Nevada dry
Every water running through vegas is recycled in a water plant. You can't have grass in new build houses. They're doing good as far as water.
6:31 Those brightline people need to lay off the all you can eat buffets.
Vegas just keeps on getting better and better.
I also wanted to add that is where is hollywood has its new home. Since old hollywood is dying in LA.

The Bleutech Park is going to be a game-changer! Can't wait!
Thanks for sharing
Moving there next year
No one is even talking about the bluetech park, most likely a no go. Everything right now is, Baseball and Basket Ball Stadiums.
...and no mention of Hard Rock closing down Mirage to make way for a HUGE guitar-shaped hotel tower coming in '27.
A guitar shape hotel is kind of tacky also Vegas should be builder higher and and spread out not demolish existing buildings.
What's a meter?
About 39 inches. Metric System.
Thanks for the insight

Please add to your videos the measurement of square feet in addition to your M2
That Bleutech Park looks exciting! I hope it gets built! I'm sure the surrounding land just went up in value.
Will never happen
Bluetech is not being built. This video is trash clickbait.
Bleutech Park was originally supposed to be built but it was pause in December 2019 due to COVID-19.
@@DanielRidgewell no way they ever build 1200 foot tower
I wouldn't go putting any deposit down on it. Having lived here my entire 65 year life, I will be completely shocked if it ever gets built.

Vegas never disappoints.

Giving dimensions in meters doesn’t give the average American viewer any perspective since feet are used in the USA.
Well Done
I met my wife in Vegas, being a homebody before living in fort Lauderdale and still do, vegas means alot to me she took me out to do so many things I would of never done before. It may not be for everyone, but most of the people have to have some memorable moments they'll never forget. 🎉
The next mega casino should be a airport themed casino inside the world’s biggest airport hangar with hotels shaped like giant airplanes!!!
Locals hate the strip even more! They shut us out from charging us ridiculous parking fees! There are 2,900,000 in this metro area and they could care less about us! They also could care less if tourists ever return! The service industry and hospitality is horrible! We all miss the old days of Vegas when the strip catered to all their customers! Now this city is the biggest scam and rip off!
Facts
I bet you don't travel much. I have been to four other cities this year for business it is bad every where. Fees are out of this world.

Pays to control the sheeple, to which their numbers increase each year...
Most residents didn't come for tourism, so not sure it matters much what happens on Strip which is tiny but congested part of metro area. Things always change.
You showed the update rooms at the Rio and rooms at Resorts World which aren't part of the FB project.
WOW! 😮😮😮
Update that’s not in this video it’s going to be club LIV the same one that’s in the blue in Miami. If they match the one in Miami it’s a hip hop club so it will be more like DRAIS than hakkassan
Sweet home Las Vegas ❤
If Vegas have another fountain lakes on north is would be nice!!
"fon-tain-blow" hahahahahahhaha
Why did you not include the ALL NET ARENA. A State of the Art World Class venue.
Bro really said Bleutech Park is going to be constructed lol
In the pictures for the Fountain Blue rooms they have the concept art for the Rio rooms double check your photos
And pics from Resorts World!
There’s no way it’s a 7.9 acre ballroom. Do you mean feet when you’re saying square meters? This is in America after all. Also 159 square meters would put the average room at about 1600 sqft or almost the size of the average home
Agreed. They can’t even say Fontainebleau correctly. Terrible not voiceover that can pronounce things right.
With the coming reset it will be interesting to see how people will afford to go there?
Business conventions !
Only the very wealthy will go and the average Joe will be pushed out. There was an article recently about how the slot machines were being set to pay back less to discourage the low rollers from coming out and they said they are catering to a wealthier crowd. They don’t want our Pennie’s anymore and all the degens and riff raff that usually accompanies the poorer people they want to clean up the image of Vegas I get it . Last time I got in an elevator at one of Ceasars properties there was a bunch of people w coolers and they were smoking pot and we unfortunately got stuck on the same area as them as they talked loud played loud music and argued all night. They contribute very little monetarily to Vegas and basically Vegas is saying sayanara
Facts
@@KevinShaughnessy-mt9jt Hold that thought. Businesses have to be making money for these kinds of trips to happen.
2023 only 23 million people have visited so far this year falling well short of 2022 , 2021 , 2020, Property prices are drastically falling to a all time low for the last 4 years also. The spear has just opened and so far Ticket prices for U2 Have dropped due to poor Ticket sales, The cost of U2 Tickets are insanely expensive and people just won’t spend that kind of cash.4 Years ago U2 would have sold out within a Hour of the tickets going up for sale, The share Holder are getting very worried, as its expected to sell out all shows for 2024 but so far Hardly any interest at all, Casino&Games Hotels are also looking at why Visitors numbers are so low in the past two years, Hilton & Wynn have only seen a 47% Occupancy. Thats not enough to substantiate its cost of operation. I cant see this project getting off the ground …
It is because the Corporations have gotten way too greedy. They can't afford to lower prices to amounts that are affordable to the average person? And, the Casinos have made it very hard to win any money. They have made the odds of winning really horrible, and maybe people are finally figuring that out.
@@justinbryson352 Then maybe one day we will see Vegas fall and fail.

Blutech Park is a NO GO and a pie in the sky Las Vegas proposal which historically have been many. Most never get off the rendering stage. How is the All Net Arena working? It's not. I have my doubts about the Brightline as well.
They're in the process of renaming All Net Arena to Air Ball Arena.
It’s a shame Nevada in general and Clark County in particular don’t spend these mega sums on improving their schools, including upgrading their very average universities, and paying their teachers and professors decent wages.
This is private money so no it would be used to MAKE money.
Never expect anything good from politicians
It’s actually very simple, they’re not the ones spending the mega sums in the first place. It’s private money.
