He adds a mnemonic to help remember the 10 classes of antibiotics covered, by way of using the first letter of each drug class to form a sentence. It was very helpful! I'll add that my CMA book had three more that curiously weren't mentioned -- ketolides, topical anti-fungal agents, and systemic anti-fungal agents.
Always appreciate seeing your comments! I remember you saying you liked that other antibiotic video. 👍 There will be a separate video for anti-fungal agents. Ketolides are simply derived from macrolides and their drug names also end in "thromycin" just like macrolides.
Very helpful ❤

add value to video because any one can find suffix , make video to how to remember suffix
Great idea! You can find those longer tricks in the full pharmacology videos and lectures. But use these tricks below:
🔸CEPHalosporins = Prefix "Ceph/Cef" (Remember the prefix "ceph" using the ceph in cephalosporin)
🔸FLuoroquinolones = Suffix "FLoxacin" (Remember the suffix "floxacin" using the FL in fluoroquinolones)
🔸PeniCILLINS = Suffix "Cillins" (Remember the suffix "cillin" using the cillin in penicillin)
🔸CarbaPENEMS = Suffix "penems" (Remember the suffix "penem" using the penem in carbapenem)
🔸Macrolides = Suffix "thromycin" (Remember the suffix "thromycin" because macro and thro both rhyme)
