Today we are doing a THRIFT FLIP CHALLENGE with the one and only, DIY Danie! ✨ For this challenge, DIY Danie and I must create beautiful trendy holiday decor made from thrifted finds we’ve sent to each other. The box will include: 3 thrifted items, and a list of 2 media and 1 tool that MUST be used. These can be used in ANY WAY, on ANY item - as long as it was used once. Just a suggestion...side business, make small houses and sell them, especially Christmas decorated version. You did it beautifully! Gorgeous!!! All of your craft items were absolutely beautiful. You definitely stepped it up with this challenge!

Far too labour-intensive, I imagine - I doubt people would pay their real worth as everyone's been conditioned to cheap tat from China, sadly. I agree that the houses are absolutely lovely. 🎄
I would have left the spinning base on the candle, then you could spin it and see the different home scenes! Such a cute way to repurpose that container!!!
I actually did think of that because that would be so fun!! But then I thought it wouldn't be safe when the candle was lit 🙈

In Germany we have a "Adventskranz". Its basiclly 4 candles, and on each adventsunday you light one candle more (on the 1. Advent you Start with 1 candle). So your candle can also be used as a Adventskranz 🤩 Love this candle very much 💪

Omg! That shelf fireplace is so cute for storage AND a decor moment for people who live in small spaces. They can have a beautiful Christmas! Not just that, if you buy log slices, you can glue it to painted MDF to make it look like you're storing wood in it 😊 a door or cover so to speak.

I didn't know how you could top yourself after that fireplace but then you did the mini houses and I loved it! I would keep them both forever! The last project I had no idea what you could make that would be cool. But Tina, to our never disappoint! I love the celestial vibe always and these were awesome! Who knew what could be made from basically junk. Hats off to the DIY Queen!!

Tina, I came over from Danie's channel and love everything you did in this challenge!! I don't know how you came up with the fireplace from the wire shelf! But that ceramic box - that turned out SO adorable! Definitely a keeper! My thought on that was to make a bow with polymer clay and treat it like a holiday package centerpiece and put cut greenery in the sections. But I love your idea and execution even more!

The candle is GORGEOUS! And I really like the starry cylinders too. I'm less enamored with the fireplace, but it is growing on me. I've never had a fireplace but always wanted one. I think that leaving out the added shelves and grouping faux candles in it would appeal to me more. Excellent reimagining and execution!

Tina, do you set up a hot cocoa & coffee station, in your house for the holidays? If you do, you could use your new spinning, night scene piece as a spoon, peppermint stick & wooden stir stick holder. Than, you'd have a permanent home for it, each & every year.

I love everything you did here, but the the polymer clay buildings on that turning container was a brilliant result. The candles and the night sky just finished off the little buildings so perfectly. Love, love , love it. The fireplace....that was unexpected and the result was amazing. The hexagonal (?) containers turned out so pretty. I want to do that today!!! Must go to Value Village! I really enjoy these challenges.

I love the first one so much. Im obsessed. I wouldve done the top with hinges so it can be used as storage for tall bulky christmas gift wrap and other seasonal decor but you can just as well put them in from the bottom opening ✨🤩✨

I loved the candle. So personal and creative. Also, really loved the simplicity of the lanterns. Taking something that's plastic and just plain, then turning it an eye catching item is amazing. So easy to do. I really loved the fireplace too, but this could easily be made without putting the little shelf in it. I really liked the little wire arch shelf on its own. Great job both of you ladies. Inspiring.

So surprised to see thrift flip diy videos from these two in my subscriptions tab this morning! I was like "NO WAY!" A Collab with Tina and Danie! 🌟✨ All the diys they did are getting me in a crafty holiday decorating spirit!!! 🎄 Headed to the thrift store now to reimagine some items 😆
These are so creative! Absolutely love them. The candle with little houses was my fave. Definitely an heirloom piece in the making.
P.s. Regarding the wine coolers the shape is very tall which will lead to an incomplete burning process for a real candle, which gives off possibly toxic fumes. So anyone doing these I'd recommend using a fake candle.
Everything you did was so darling that it is hard to choose a favorite. I think the village candle holder is my overall fave because of the artistry of the little houses but I would totally love to use all three in my home. Brava!!!!!
