- Hey, this is my Top 42 of all the songs for this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev, Ukraine.
I really like a lot of these entries, so please don't be sad if your country is lower than you hoped. The places 1-6 could all be my number 1, I can't decide :D
Comments:
42: Sorry, Slovenia. You were my 1st in 2015 with Maraaya, but I really dislike Omar's song.
41: She's a good singer, but it's just too aggressive for me. All this "yeah yeah" destroys the song. It's just unpleasant to listen to.
40: I'm a big fan of electronic music. But this is just boring and generic in my opinion.
39: I don't find this as masterpiece-ish as some people say. It's nice, I don't hate it, but it's very sleepy and his movements look so fake and off-putting.
38: She has a strong voice, but the chorus is really unspecial if not bad.
37: Similar to Norway, I really like electronic music, but this is just underwhelming and boring. It leaves me completely indifferent.
36: This is so trashy, it's hilarious and almost good :D I like that it's upbeat and danceable, but that's it.
35: Valentina is back! :) That's a big plus. Jimmie's voice is really nice too. Doesn't change that the song is incredibly dated.
34: She has an interesting voice, but the song is rather boring and she has a typical Slavic accent when she pronounces the "T" and "P".
33: It's nice, but this is simply not a song I would ever like to listen to in my free time.
32: She's another one of those girls with great vocals, but the song is the perfect example of unmemorable. I instantly forget the melody.
31: Australia's worst entry so far. Not particularly bad, it's just underwhelming in every aspect.
30: Not really fond of his voice, but the ending is powerful and the instrumental gives me some Enya vibes :D
29: My country. I HATE our preselection system and this crappy song is the result of it. Levina is awesome though. Her voice saves it and she tries to make the best out of it.
28: Business as usual: Albania is sending another screaming woman. Not the best, but I actually quite like the melody.
27: It reminds me (as everyone) of "Human" by Rag'n'Bone Man. That being said, it's catchy.
26: Impressive vocals. I will enjoy it at Eurovision, but I would never listen to it in my free time.
25: They are beautiful singers with awesome harmonies. The song is so boring in the studio version, though.
24: It's catchy and danceable, but it's as generic as it can get. She's lovely, but the song doesn't have a character.
23: This sounds like it could be the song of a Vodafone commerical :D Good production, but also kind of average.
22: Really interesting experimental song. I like it, but I'm not a hyped about it as some other people.
21: Cute little song. I want him to do well, but it's also quite average..
20: It somehow sounds like a generic song that is given to castingshow winners, but it's really powerful and I like the melody.
19: I liked it a lot since the beginning, but it's kind of faded now.
18: The guitar break and the verses are AMAZING, but the chorus is so bad, it's a pity. It could have been such a fantastic entry.
17: I love the "youuu" part and the piano, but the rest is lacking something.
16: I really like it, but it took me a few listens to remember the melody.
15: This is one of the most unique songs this year and I especially like the instrumental part.
14: It reminds me of Malta 2013 :D It puts me in a good mood :)
13: This is just a good song, even if it gives me strong Modern Talking vibes :D It will do really well-
12: Oh how I loved them back in 2010! And also this year! It's so much fun to listen to this song :)
11: The verses are awesome. The chorus is a bit messy, but overall a very strong entry!
10: As a German, I'm a bit torn about this one :D On the one hand, I've heard much better yodelling. But on the other hand, nothing has ever been as cool as this :D
9: Probably the best Azerbaijani entry after 2009. I love it.
8: I love Drum&Bass, so it places high. But unfortunately, this has only very subtle Drum&Bass elements. I would have loved it much more if it were straight-up Drum&Bass without trying to be inoffensive.
7: The studio version, wow. It's so atmospheric and creates a really special mood.
6: It's is awesome, creative and stands out lyrically. Really good entry, but I don't see it win, to be honest.
5: Sweden again. Always really well-produced songs with cool staging. Another deserved high place :)
4: They are so cute! I enjoy the genre and their language. It's so sweet and always puts a smile on my face :)
3: Great experimental mix of modern and ethnic. Live is even better :)
2: I loved this since the audio was released. The instrumental is so 2017. By far one of the most contemporary songs. Amazing and powerful!
1: Tbh, I'm really surprised that this became my number 1! I'm not a huge ballad lover, but this got all! It's emotional, authentic, has a beautiful melody, as well as a strong and lovely voice! Best UK entry since 2009 :) - Hudba
42 - It's just BAAAAAAD!! And the masterpiece he sent back in 2005 ... this just isn't acceptable.
41 - I don't mind it but the live versions are bad.
40 - Harmless song. I quite like it.
39 - I'm not usually a fan of ballads ... BUT THIS IS AMAZEBALLS!! AMAZING, WONDERFUL, STUPENDOUS!! I'M SO FANGIRLING OVER THIS I ADORE IT SO MUCH!!!!! .<
29 - Meh
28 - I like the steampunk video but the song itself isn't anything special
27 - Been done before but IT'S AWESOME!! One of my FAVES!!
26 - 'Let it goooooo, LET IT GOOOOO'
25 - Not my cup of tea
24 - Meh, not for me
23 - Has a lovely, retro vibe to it. I LOVE IT!! TOP 5 for me!! :D
22 - Not just me who hasn't placed this high!! It's OK but it's overhyped.
21 - Sweet but nothing special.
20 - X Factor loser ... don't like it
19 - Sure likes Greek mythology so much there's a song about being in love with a greek god ... it sucks :P
18 - I like it
17 - Such a lovely, haunting song and her voice is soooooo nice!! One of my favourites!!
16 - Catchy
15 - Nice and different amongst other entries. GREAT song!!
14 - Makes me happy. Very nice!!

You're welcome :) You won't be 24th. I think it's your best entry since Jade Ewen in 2009. And in retrospective and think it's even better than that :)
And since I'm from Germany, I rather hope that we won't be last for the third year in a row :D
I agree, apart from I think Blue's 2011 entry is a bit better. I can't see the UK doing well with the public this year because of Brexit. :/
Germany doesn't deserve to be last, I've got it 24/42 in my list.

You liked the yodel song? Ewww. From a German point of view it's terrible, probably also from a Swiss and Austrian view. Terrible. Now that Finland is out, which was my personal favorite actually, I would like to see the "overhyped" Belgians win which they won't. Probably some terrible shit song will win again, like last year. I still can't get over Jamala winning with cat music. ... eww.
okay. here it is. good songs that will do well and should win but won't. Bulgaria, Belgium, France. good songs that should do well but won't. Poland, UK, Denmark Estonia. Malta, Ireland, Australia, Albania. songs that will probably win and shouldn't. Italy and Sweden. songs that shouldn't even be in the semi final, Belarus, Armenia, Lithuania, Portugal, San Marino, Germany, Croatia and Moldova. biggest rip off song, Netherlands. listen to any Wilson Phillips song. Israel, watch any dance music video from summer 2000. most overrated, Hungary and Spain. good choruses, Austria Finland Latvia but rest of the song is a let down. All other songs are okay but this is the strongest year ever. BULGARIA TO WIN. 😁😆 please not Shitaly.

This must be a joke! Portugal's winning Magic Song in 39 place behind all that scandinavian style trash music... What's wrong with you? Are you geting hearing-impaired? Did you allready see the doctor?
Instead of insulting other people, please read the comments in the description and learn to have some respect. I didn't say a single horrible thing about Portugal's song. So keep your negativity to yourself.
Also, this video was made _before_ the actual Eurovision semifinals and final. I rated the studio versions. Many countries failed miserably in the live performances. So naturally Portugal would score much higher in my rating. And luckily he didn't do any of his weird movements that I criticized. He had by far his best performances in Kiev. In fact, I'm constantly even defending his victory, telling the haters that he won deservedly. So seriously, think before you write such bitter comments.
And btw, I didn't even rate the Scandinavian songs high at all. I could now say that maybe you are the one who should see a doctor, but then again, I have some decency and wouldn't write such stuff.
