- Had a 9 day holiday with Matteo to Oahu to windsurf Diamond Head the birthplace of wavesailing! Had a great trip....there was wind every day even though at times it was light you could still catch waves.

This beautiful YT video captures the essence of what it really is/was like to sail at Diamond Head on an average day. From the trek down the cliff to the shower pipe where you washed your gear off, it brings back memories of those days in 1985 - 2000 when I was a regular at DH.

I love seeing the random parts... a wave breaking over a rig in the water... the odd gybes.... shots of the reef/rocks... its a really complete depiction of the day. Iâm curious about the reality of it and the âsuper rad extreme â smash cut videos donât show that stuff

Thanks for bringing back great memories. Windsurfed with Josh on the first crossing to Oahu. I believe it was related to lifeguard awereness. Diamond head is so beautiful. Those guys had that little piece of paradise to themselves.

I must compliment your music choices also... your choice of relatively laid back tracks is perfect, suggests a 5 star windsurfing life! The opening music in this video reminded me a lot of Top Gun. Waikiki is such a beautiful place. I stayed at the Halekulani and really loved the sunset maitais with traditional hawaiian song and dance. Hope you can do another trip to Maui next time!

Mate, great vids all round. They bring back memories of so many years on the road sailing and surfing my life away. So awesome. Just I didn't have a drone to capture what you've captured. You've done a brilliant job editing editing the footage. There aren't that many vids around which capture the essence of windsurfing in speed, wave and the environment we sail in. Keep 'em coming.

Good waterstart 4:31 + super spin out at 5:53 - I wonder how quickly he got his board sticking to the water again ? Great camera zooms out at 6:46 and 8:37 And 8:56 eek - wonder how he uphauled the rig on such low volume board as not enough wind for waterstart. Nice relaxed + calming video.

You caught the atmosphere of that place so nicely that I watched it right away! Well done. (Again, haha!). I like this kind of windsurfing promotion much better than all the "loud stuff".

wow, you have amazing controle over your drone, well done! what drone do you use? Phantom pro? I have a magic pro, but it doesn't seem to be that responsive or doesn't accelerate fast enough to get a good level of tracking somebody while riding a wave down the line. Maybe I need to flip it into sport mode?...

Yeah you could! It's just another sailing vessel. You'd want good sun protection, an EPIRB and lots of water!
