Not top 5 but should be somewhere - Bernadette's drug side effects. Every time she mentions a new drug they are working on, she also mentions some horrific possible side effects. Personally, this is one of my favourite running gags.
Like itchy hair which shouldn’t exist
Me too, I'm in the middle of getting my virology degree and yeah saw myself in her and I love talking about what I'm doing in the lab so I loved it haha...don't have a PHD tho...yet
Those are definitely funny jokes
YES!!! My favorite Bernadette med side effect is "...Restless Eye Syndrome- we created it and cured it the same day!"
Pure Bernadette gold!
Also lab accidents, etc. Some of the others do that too, such as Leslie Winkle inviting Leonard to join the physics dept. string quartet.
I loved when Penny recited all the reasons why that is Sheldon’s spot. Perfectly. It even impressed him.
Perhaps there's hope for you after all
She is an wannabe actress so you have to remember lines to perfection.

One of us, one of us, one of us.
My favourite part of the Sheldon Nobel Prize award acceptance speech is when he introduces his Friends/Family and while introducing everyone as Dr, he introduces Howard as Astronaut, to show his equal footing to the rest of the Drs.
That speech has me in tears every single time
For all the show deteriorated for me over the years (Bernadette became a horrible character imo), that speech was great.
I guess it was nice of sheldon to do so with the whole "astronaut" thing. But he never was. He was and engineer that went into space.
@@ZesPakI agree that Bernadette became a caricature, Amy was FANTASTIC
@@ZesPakI'm very interested in your Bernadette opinions I would like to hear more
The check engine light? Every robotic character has mentioned it and in season seven Penny took the consequenses of not checking the engine.
It's fine, it's still just blinking away
@@Nina-rg8esit was the stupid engine that was broken
With regards to Howard’s no PhD - I always thought the writers missed a huge chance to have Howard receive an honorary doctorate bc of his work with NASA and have Sheldon spend an episode bitching about how he ‘didn’t really earn it’
Howard is right that most engineers don't get PhDs unless they are going to teach at the college level. Professional engineers get bachelor's or master's degrees.
That sounds like Sheldon
There was one episode where Howard was taking a graduate PhD course where Sheldon was the professor lol

Knock knock
Empty room?..........
When someone says come in I’m gonna freak out
🤣🤣one of my favourites from drunk sheldon
"And here's Uranus"
Knock knock knock*
come in
There are three knocks.
"My mother had me tested." Kills me every time. Oh, and the fact that Leonard's mom prefers Sheldon to her own son.
I tell ppl "I have my crazy papers" when ppl say I'm crazy
This was explained in a “Young Sheldon” episode where Mary takes both twins to a psychologist for a battery of tests.
A number of TBBT running gags are explained in YS episodes, from the triple triple knock (he barged in on his parents) to his complex, verbose roommate agreements (and it’s no surprise that, at age 10 or 11, he did the family taxes).
My mom and ex fiancee had a running gag that she should have had me tested. When I became an adult I finally had myself tested and come to find out Im autistic and have ADHD. Took 34 years to find that out
@@allanrichardson9081 in tbbt Sheldon said the reason was because he walked in on his dad and another woman. Not his mom
I had myself tested and it turns out that I have a form of dyslexia. I don't reverse my letters. I have trouble with numbers and my brain goes faster than my muscles do.
Howard and Raj portraying as a couple has make me laugh, especially when they were checking each other’s breast. That episode got me laughing so hard.
I just saw that episode yesterday, hilarious, and the look on Bernadette's face🤣
@@Nina-rg8es bbbkbb
Büx
Same LOL 😂
Yeah, being gay is hilarious.
How about the hot beverage for someone sad? When Sheldon gives Howard the Chicken Broth because the cube was in the cupboard when they moved in!! Love it
Howard's belt buckles. It's subtle, but it changes with every episode, and when they're in his walk-in closet, the buckles are all in a big makeup organizer.
And turtle neck
@kabouterwesley83 According to Howard, "It's not a turtleneck, it's a dickie."
@Jazzy D I think he'd have been better off if it *had* been a turtleneck.
I think that's the first time ever I've heard someone say "it's subtle" about Howards' belt buckles.
@@ZesPak 😅
The 3 knocks and Bazinga are the best gags 😂😂
It's surprising how many times that Sheldon breaks the roommate agreement and gets away with it. I.E. "Pets are banned under the roommate agreement." Gets 27 cats. Or, my favorite, "No percussive or brass instruments past 10:00pm." which he breaks twice with his bongos when he's overdue for his hair cut, and when he plays the tuba to identify his earworm.
What's the point of a roommate agreement when you're living in a world of chaos?
Well let just say Sheldon always get his way
Romate agreement? Now it's the time of Chaos!
Penny's maiden name is Teller. There is an episode where she is carrying a delivery box and you can see her name on the shipping label
😲 *which episodeeeeee?*
@@minenoturs4271 season 2 episode 18
if that's true that's funny because her mom plays Jax Teller's mom in Sons of Anarchy
@@badgalhirixo it's a pun on Penn and Teller, the magicians. Teller even guest starred as Amy's dad.
If that’s true then Jax has another half sibling.
The reason they tested Sheldon is because in Young Sheldon his friend Dr Sturgis went insane and his mom worried that he might be insane too
i swear they didnt even test him, in the episode about it all sheldon did was talk to his mum about it and nothing else.
The fact that we later learn that the one doctor recommended a specialist proves that there is something psychologically wrong with him, though.
They portrayed the test in young Sheldon. Remind me when I tested my son
@@tarysunshine3878 , precisely.
@@Panwere36 not necessarily. The doc could be misinterpreting Sheldon's difficulty with relating to others as a psych prob that needs a special to rule out if its just a lack of relatability or if there is underlying issues. Its also possibile that a behave he engaged in may have been caused by his dad dying and having to deal with that alone at 14.
I had that issue when young, I got very violent at one point cause I got stuck in that part of grief. I was too young to understand and no one else understood what might have caused the behavior change.
It could also simply be a funny running gag on the idea of "there is a fine line btn genius & insanity"
Sheldon has so many restraining orders against him.😆😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nobody likes to talk about one of my favorite jokes in this show which is when Penny was helping Sheldon through quitting his studying on string theory, Leonard and Amy are next door and penny goes over there and was like "turns out the answer is knots" and Leonard's like "nice try but you can't have knots in more than 4 dimensions" and Penny was like "you can if you consider them sheets Goodnight"
It's not really a running gag but I do like how each character has a specific dress code/style all throughout the show. It's almost like an homage to the way cartoon characters are drawn.
Good point, noticed the style of course but never thought of them as comic book characters.
One of the greatest sitcoms of all time, pure comedy at its finest
nope. fawlty towers was better.
The running gag of Howard not being a doctor was one of the best. The best use of that was at the restaurant when Penny's going round the table "you're a doctor, you're a doctor, you're a doctor, you're a doctor and Howard, you know a lot of doctors."
If not it would be the one raj gotten the 30 under 30. The one doctor gablehauser was addrssing the group. Dr cooper, dr khootrapali, dr hofsteadter and mr wolowitz. There was another one where when they went for a fund raising event and a donor was like you can't stay in school a little longer?
@Christopher Bingham the irony of it is what makes it hilarious
I always thought he should have had an honourary doctorate.
Howard was pretty accomplished. Even made it to space. No PHD required
Most NASA astronauts traditionally started out as either Air Force or Navy pilots. Many of them have at least a bachelor's in an engineering field, ,many even have a masters in an engineering field. So, Howard's education background would be realistic in real life.
Okay.... The "leave a comment" "knock knck knock" was too cute 😂
Bazinga is so funny, especially when Sheldon said it many times in the ball pit scene
when he gets from inside the couch for Halloween I jumped watching lol
Howard's magic /mimicry was a lot of fun.
And Leonard's mom loving sheldon more than him that scenes too🤣🤣
After Howard's mom died, the running gag about Bernadette sounding like Howard's mom become dramatic.
HOWARD'S MOM DIES?! IG THIS IS WHY I SHOULDNT SCROLL DOWN IN TH COMMENTS BEFORE IM DONE

Penny arriving in the elevator, is perhaps the biggest freak out a show has given me. I LITERALLY screamed out loud.
19:22 Probably the funniest scene involving the elevator would be Leonard's fantasy where he uses his super powers to rescue Penny and help her get to work on time.
He doesn't use any super powers there
There was sharp eyed fan who saw Penny’s last name on her package in “Penny blossoms” it it Teller, like the man who played Amy’s dad.
That's probably a nod to Penn & Teller (Penny Teller) who are magicians/comedians in Las Vegas.
@@maryvstarr Mainly Las Vegas now, but they are legendary entertainers who have been around for decades, have had several different TV series, numerous specials And are flat out awesome!
I actually loved it when Leonards mom talks about it. I am always impressed how she finally could say it in a straight face
Christine Baranski is awesome.
Poor Stuart.
I always felt bad for that guy.
He's such a sweet adorable guy and he's always getting kicked while he's down.
with all due respect to mother cooper (Mary) , Penny is without a doubt the best "Soft Kitty" singer
I like Soft Kitty in three languages as sung by Amy with a harpsichord.
Fun fact: Jim Parsonsn is actually allergic to cats.
OMG how did he shoot the scene with cats surrounding him without sneezing? kudos to him tho, he's such a legendary actor
@@quangminhtran2916 Probably took an Allegra or something similar beforehand.
@@quangminhtran2916 Or they were hypoallergenic cats
among them. @@samiskindaokay2412, I doubt that they were hypoallergenic cats. There were some longhaired cats. Even hairless cats are not hypoallergenic and people are allergic to the cat's skin and not so much the hair on the cat.
Dr Sheldon cooper’s Fun with Flags are some of the funniest episodes
I think it's worth noting that Howard, the one without the PhD 1) invented something that actually got used, 2) not only trained as an astronaut but then actually went to the Space Station, 3) was the first to get married, and 4) had children with his wife. In terms of livingness, Howard achieved a great deal with his 'lesser' degree. Howard continued to create in each area of his life in which he operated.
Love the show. everyone's character is amazing ...my favourite is Sheldon
This show was so well written and acted.
PLEAAAASE PASS THE BUTTER🤣
Leonard being lactos intolerant is funny as there’s been a few times over the years where he eats dairy. One of which when he eats chilli cheese fries at the bowling alley.
That was awesome!!! Thank you!!
Pennys last name was revealed… it’s “Teller”it was written on a package she received. Also it’s like penn and teller in which teller plays Amy’s dad
18:42 According to my calculations, the dryness caused by the radiator was important enough for him to have mentioned it near the top of his list.
Hey, I used to use my neighbor across the hall's Wi-Fi so it isn't impossible LOL
I lived at an RV park and the wifi reached 100's of sites in different locations.
For the wifi gag, it’s not unrealistic, they’re nerds, they probably have a wifi router way more powerful than the router gave with the subscription, so it’s possible that the WiFi connection can reach the whole floor
There was another time where Leonard got revenge by asking questions. Sheldon made Tea for Leonard, and Sheldon replied to the questioning, "Oh my god I made you tea, just drink it!"
I think "bazinga punked now we're even "at sofa scene is the best hilarious scene ever :)
Penny's maiden is "Teller" It was on the shipping label of her box of rhinestones.
I would love to read the roommate agreement!
Penny on surface may have seemed a freeloader but she gave love, compassion, empathy and friendship in return. There is nothing she wont do to protect them.
About the knocking...all the guys knocked on her door but she never did with coming over to the guys' apartment...or almost never did.
I think it is quite sad they don't always allow Stuart to be part of the group, just because he may or may not have a depressing life doesn't mean he isn't nice. I am fully aware this is a programme but I think they should of let him be with them more often
You are absolutely right, instead they even bullied Stuart and everytime Stuart said it felt like I wasnt part of the group/gang they didn't emphasized with him. It's like alan Harper In two and a half men had a twin unspoken brother.... Stuart.
thanks for the comment @@nickvanheester633

Bo it's knock knock knock Penny, knock knock knock Penny, knock knock knock Penny.
i remember when this show first aired.. it was labeled a "laughless attempt at educated bathroom humor" or some such, and predicted it wouldnt last a season..
instead became one of the most watched, and actors the highest paid, on TV and a comedic Icon..
I loved that Pennys character pretty much remained the same, over all, other than just normal what u see in 12 years ( thats a long time ) advancement.
a comedy juggernaut nobody saw coming, and most expected to fail..
15:00 They finally explained where Bazinga came from on "Young Sheldon." For those who never saw the episode, there was a company named the Bazinga Toy Company that manufactured gags with the slogan, "If it's funny it's a Bazinga."
"Then one day she meets a group of geniuses... and their friend Howard" gets me every time...
we got a cat about ten years ago (fluffy tortoiseshell/tabby) and named her ‘Zazzy Lambchop’ because of the episode where Sheldon got a bunch of cats to deal with ‘breaking up’ with Amy
I thohght the geology one should be in. There is even a time where they made drunk sheldon have a one night stand with a geology book.
The ball pit scene is the best
Bazinga
🤣
The scene with the ton of balls is like Simpsons. In one episode they take a litter of puppies. Homer tries eating a bag of chips, but each of these puppies is jumping up to catch his chips. Like Bazinga, it could have gone on forever.
One of my favorite shows… so bummed they ended it, it had more seasons of hilarity with penny being pregnant, Amy n Sheldon could have gotten pregnant, that would have been freaking hilarious
this show is everything 💓
I love the Sheldon's style "leave a comment"! 🤣🤣
I'm already hope for a reunion 😂
Soft Kitty is my absolute favorite song on this show
Howard’s lack of a PhD should be higher!
I like how Stuart is always forgotten… Considering how he’s behaved with Raj and Howard it’s a miracle they haven’t forgotten him.
who?
Ahhh, these scenes are just so good! ❤
My favourite episode is Sheldon and Amy's Wedding. I love it because it is romantic and we never thought they would get married especially Sheldon. Last episode of Season 11 or 10. 🥰

I rarely watch TV (if ever), have never seen an episode of Big Bang Theory except clips like this on CZcams, and even I know the catch phrase, 'Bazinga'. It's impossible not to know this one.
You are missing out on a great show.
The knock/leave a Comment x 3 is soo right ON !!!

As a Beatles fan, I really want Penny’s maiden name to be Lane.
This is the power I f this amazing series. Every time I rewatch it, I laugh. Thank you ❤
You forgot Bernadette's squeaky voice, Bernadette's height, Howard's height, Bernadette's competitiveness, Bernadatte's viciousness despite her size that she developed as a defense mechanism, Howard's perviness/frequent masturbation, Howard's mom's obesity, Penny not understanding nerdy references and science stuff, Howard's mom's briskets, Howard joking about his mom dying, Raj's self-sabotage in his love-life, Raj's inability to speak in front of women unless he's drunk, Raj's doting on his dog, Sheldon's T-shirts, Sheldon making fun of Penny's Nebraska roots, Penny being more manly than the guys, Dungeons and Dragons, Sheldon's hatred of geology, Leonard's asthma, Thai food and so many more.
The series of interesting facts by sheldon..
Love this!!!!!!!!!
I have one word for you.....Bazinga!
We do know Penny's maiden name. Her first name is Penelope, and we have to assume her last name is that of her father, who was I think called Mr Watson (his first name is Wyatt).
However, in another episode, an address label can be seen on a package addressed to her as "Penelope Teller", but the showrunners said that was a gag referencing magician duo Penn and Teller who did a guest spot as Amy's parents.
Writers should have given Howard an honorary PhD for all his robotic stuff before show ended.
Leonard, "SCHOOL!!"
LOL!!
Thanks for making me smile
These running gags are funny.😂😂😂
You forgot Penny explaining Sheldon’s spot to Bernadette.😅
Trying to drag large items up the stairs makes me thing of that hilarious scene from Friends where they tried to get a couch up the stairs. PIVOT! 🤣
For extra's: Raj's selective mutism. Howards mom treating him like a child and Bernadette taking over. Also: flags. Sheldon's petty rivalry with other academics. And with Wil Wheaton.
Mrs Wolowitz was also seen one other time than just running past the door behind Raj. During the camera zoom-out for Howard & Bernadette's wedding, you can see her sitting at the corner of the roof.
They missed, "here we go..." Also Penny's full name is Penny Teller as seen on a package Sheldon signs on her behalf in the episode, ' Work Song Nanocluster'. s02e18

Wifi strength is not unrealistic. My pedestrian router covers outside to the neighbor's driveway. More than enough to cover a hallway.
Penny's maiden name was Teller and was shown once in early seasons
LMAO!! I had this day , w/out the sprouts. It was awhful!!
Howard may not have a phd, but he's accomplished more than the others, put together. The rest are just working on guesses.
Interesting, with a Masters' Degree in Aerospace Engineering, he would probably make more money than all of them, with the exception of Bernadette, since she is a medical pharmaceutical company. However, Howard does not like the defense industry or the military, which is where many Aerospace Engineer end up working.
Howard building the robot arm: "Cuz that's all he needed."
