Both PKs could have been avoided had the players used a properly timed and executed slide tackle. Easy to do and leach. There is nothing in the rule book that states if you touch the ball first you can’t be called for a foul.

Never slide tackle in the box, only slide to block a shot!!

@Kenneth Bae nah nr 12 has sloppy feet she even tripped on her own feet or it was just ball but ofc she has to fall n get freekicks which she just wasted

#12 dazed with a head injury after that first goal and her teammate yanking her up set the tone with how rough of a game it would be for her. Yeesh.

@@laurenbrunowickes5771 she did dive a bit too... or she tripped herself forexample and didn't even comfirm that she tripped herself.... she doesn't pass alot too so ofc she gets tripped with her feet all over the ball.

A hard match to officiate, but considering this referee does pro and semi-pro matches, I trust his calls. Here's what I saw:
@1:57: Dangerous kick that also qualifies as reckless, and thus a yellow.
@2:24: The fact that blue ended up on the ground was unfortunate, but there was no foul there. White didn't move to impede or foul the blue player.
@3:47: Pretty obvious hold by blue, and thus, easy yellow.
@5:08: The white player slid in from behind on the blue player, and since she didn't win the ball clean (she made contact with the player) it makes it more dangerous and thus, warranting a yellow for #16.
@5:52: I'm guessing the PK call here is from the trailing leg of the defender making contact with the attacking player. I had to slow it down to see it, and since the referee on the day has one look to go off of, I defer to his call. (Edit: also, in response to that one parent who yells "she got the ball first," maybe she did, but getting the ball first doesn't mean it isn't a foul. Many times, a legit play on the ball becomes illegal due to a trailing leg or other illegal use of the hands, arms, legs, etc.)
@7:00: Blue is in on goal and is fouled by white. Easy yellow.
@7:42: My guess is that the white player cautioned off screen was for dissent, seeing as how she wasn't involved with the play at all.
@8:00: Not sure what the yellow here was for, but my guess is this wasn't her first foul like that.
@9:00: And with that, #16 white committed a pretty rash, stupid challenge on a player after the ball was gone while sitting on that yellow from earlier, and is rightfully shown the red for her 2nd yellow.
@9:25: Well... when you decide to pull a girl down in the penalty area it tends to be called a PK...
All in all, this was a heated match with several instances of tactical fouls (or simple reckless play) and challenges that were deemed fouls.

7:37 girl trips over herself, with the ref not 6 feet away from her, yet she still gets a freekick. Like I get it, its impossible to get every call right, but that call was just garbage lol
