Makes sense. Most of us have to go somewhere each day. If it's not vehicles then it's everything below the waist since that's where our inbuilt vehicles are.
Driving has always been an odd concept to me. It’s weird when you consider how it’s essentially a basic necessity for most people at this point, we all do it, but it’s actually significantly dangerous. The United States National Safety Council collects all the data on automobile incidents and, if I remember correctly, they’ve come to the conclusion that if you get into an automobile accident in The US you have a 1 in 93 chance of dying in that accident. In general, according to ensures data of accident claims, for every 1000 miles driven, your chances of getting into a crash are 1 in 366. Over 2 million people are hurt in accidents every year and in the same breath 77% of drivers attest to having been in at least one accident in their life. Driving is seriously no joke, it’s completely risky.
It's a blessing that you are not hurt bad; glad you followed your Mom's advice to check everything out. Hope you can enjoy the process of selecting a new car. Let's believe the hit and run driver is caught
This is why some states, like Hawaii, require front and rear license plates. I hope they find the fool. Possibly unlicensed/uninsured or has warrants.
I was surprized to learn not all states in America require front plates. Learning something new everyday.

I'm glad you are okay and that the head bump wasn't too serious! Anything car related is always stressful but at least it seems like your car insurance made it really easy for you to get a safe car, even if for a little while.
Sorry that this happened to you Peter. The story in this video is actually very educational despite it being an unfortunate one. Anyone that has not experienced this type of situation can easily learn what to do when and if this ever happens to them. Appreciate you sharing your experience with your audience.

Glad you’re ok..yes def things go in slow motion..i rolled a car in my 20’s and i remember seeing the ground slowly come right up in my face…and the incredible noise of things crunching and flying around…no injuries except bruises on my thighs from the steering wheel. I was also hit by a drunk driver…now some 40 ish years later im always aware of cars near me while driving. Enjoy your new car.

Peter, I told you at the hospital last time that you didn't need to end up there again. That intersection is horrible, even for us in the big yellow band-aid box. Glad it seemed to be rather minor. Hope that shoulder is healing well
Seems like we're all getting in accidents. Just got out of the hospital myself. I agree with the top. May have to bubble wrap you 😂
Your car was totaled. Friend of mine was side swiped and his car was totaled. But because the air bags failed to deploy, the hospital assumed it wasn't that serious. He had a goose egg on his forehead, but pain on the back of his head. So he had hit both and didn't realize it. Turned out he had a severe concussion that lasted for many months.
I'm glad I took photos of the damage to the car when i picked him up. The other car pretty much sheared off the front of his car.
You do have awesome insurance, with rental and replacement value. I'm glad that you think you're OK, but you still could have a concussion

I used to use those kind of books when I did reenacting. I used pencil, colored pencil, or charcoal mainly with them, though. Awesome artwork!

Yea, muscle relaxers are something I struggle to take too. They make me feel awful for almost a day and a half so I never take them. Glad you are feeling well. Been a rough few weeks for you.

Loved these drawings. Very satisfying the way the ink bled out into the page (even thought that would annoy me if I were the one drawing). I think that colour of the paper really gave them some energy or dimension. The cover of that book is amazing.

Had me totally engrossed and I suspect this video will get loads of likes. I'm glad you're ok and your insurance treated you well. I hope they catch the little bugger who took off, who does that?! I can relate to the whirlwind you went through. My car was stolen a month ago and it felt the same to me, insurance company, police officers, enterprise, car dealerships, phone calls, emails. It's all a blur.

that sketchbook looks like recycled cotton rag paper!! i have one of my own, i love using it for gouache and watercolours since it's so absorbent. gouache sits on top of it so nicely, and i haven't had any issues with paint cracking as i turn the pages either :D
glad you're mostly okay and that your insurance was able to help you out. i still come back to your channel after years and years of watching you, and i'm happy to say i'm still brought the same comfort and peace as the first video i ever saw from you :)

In Australia we have number plates on the front and back of the car. That would be very helpful in this situation.

I went and watched your more popular videos (sticky notes about feelings) and around the minute 45 mark you say “I just had a micro dream about seatbelts, very strange”.
