We were out of town and when we returned, we found her with several brown feathers, red rings around her eyes and a crown of upright brown and white feathers around her head. She is healthy and has no mate but has laid eggs. What happened? There are two other white pigeons, male and female mates who lay eggs but have never hatched.
i have a black pigeon here ...Just like there when i flew my pair of blue on the coast of cebu island of the philippines i discocer 1 black pigeon following my male bluebar during the flight, until they got to my home the black pigeon still following my bluebar and get inside to there cage ..When i pick him up i noticed that he is a 2 month old black pigeon thats why he keep following my pigeons cause he thaugh that they are her parent. He's on baytril and is a lot better but he's got some other kind of infection or disease that I'm struggling to diagnose. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
the pigeon you have is it shaking its head and twisting its neck, if so its best you just kill it and put it out of misery, if its like sneezing and making loud breathing noises then give it some water with vinegar and honey mixed
You should put one family of birds in one loft and also not mix pigeons it messes up the whole pigeon itself ... you should also put on type of color together and not alot of colors together
Birdman Yang naturally pigeons are social breeders and if they can they make nests one near the other with multiple families nesting almost shoulder to shoulder. As time goes chicks leave the nests and get together in one group. Adults come to this group and feed all of them depending on who is the loudest-most hungry, and babies thrive like this because better parents support parents who are young, inexperienced or just not so good. Chicks grow up not messed up but they actually tend to stick together better and act as a compact group which saves their lives. Dividing by color is just if you wish to breed similar birds to get same color schemes in chicks, but otherwise there is no need for that.

I also keep pigeons I care them nicely but some pigeon keepers doesn't care much about pigeons how to treat how to keep healthy and clean. All of us should respect what we see goods...

Probably baby's was sick so they couldn't survive it's your fault because you didn't care about them and you don't know much about medicine or injection and always have to keep your loft clean as well. Otherwise you can't enjoy it. So if you think something wrong with them you should ask or show to someone who knows about pigeons or speak to a veterinary alright
@Bander They're not the brightest birds, but they're not stupid either. I got my untrained male at 3 years old, and my untrained female at 9 months old. Both of them now follow on command. My male tells me when he wants me to turn on a sink for water, or he'll stand by a door when he wants me to open it. He also is car trained, and sits in the passenger's seat (with a pet towel over it ofc) with no issues. No cage, sits properly at the vet's office. His wings are not clipped. If you give them a chance and spend the time it takes, they can learn a lot.

That black pigeon is amazing. Going to try black pigeons in the hopes it'll slow down the Hawks in my area since they don't mess with the local crows.
