And when Wright passes before Edgeworth, Edgeworth doesn't eat, sleep, and will only drink if pressed by their dog baby, and eventually starts calling the dog Phoenix until he passes and the dog goes into the care of one of their children, and Edgeworth joins Wright in their coffin, holding his hand forever.
