Great ride. Nice saves you had on some of those. What happens if you break down or get a flat out there? Is this the same course they have every year and everybody rides? Never been and I want to go try it.
Thanks man, such a fun race! Well no flats because of mousse bibs and it you break down there are sweepers that come around and help you out as much as they can. The course changes a bit every year, slightly different with some of the same sections. Its a wild weekend, definitely worth checking it out🤘🏻
@@aceman1741 first lap was about 2 hrs 12 minutes. No stops this year other than the pit, was in there for about 3 minutes, chugged a redbull, filled bike gas, filled hydration, swapped gloves/jersey/goggles (chilly start), stuffed a Cliffbar in my mouth and off I went. I learned a lot of important lessons on pitting the first year!

@@kylewetherill yah that’s me sprawled out on the ground in red gear. Bib number was 1222 on bike 15. The bike didn’t get a scratch but i sure did. I’ll try to seed if I can dm you my details.
Fastest guys finish sub 4 hours, slower finishers 6.5ish hours. You have to finish lap one in a certain time or you cannot start lap 2 (50 mile course). There are definitely a few pretty technical hill climbs with rocks so Id say not the hardest on video. Its hard to see because CZcams downgraded my video quality but there are loose baseball sized rocks all over this course making it quite challenging!

About how long does this race take and is this first 45 min about as hard as it gets ?
