    Vincenzo Mancuso is a famous guitar player here in Italy. He has played as a tour guitarist with many italian singers

Matteo not only is one of the most qualified players nowadays, but he is very humble and kind too, one can find out his interwievs on internet and he gives you a lot of hints, he is very pragmatic and down to earth! They're both wholesome and amazing!

    Vincenzo nailed it here with his tasty solo, he captures the spirit of this wonderfull miles davis tune in my opinion more than juniors shredding ( by the way:mancouso is great of course; wonder wich direction he will go in futur)

    obviously the musical talent is very strong in this family…people in the usa unfortunately don’t realize how big de gregori in italy (and also switzerland, france, spain) was where vincenzo used to play with…

    Many criticize here ...
    The song called "All blues" does not belong to " Blues " genre .
    It is a jazz standard therefore can be perfomed freely !!

    Matteo seems to start all his solos clean, then click on the fuzz box and ‘rock out’.
    He’s so talented, he doesn’t need such tricks.

    I was standing right behind you just after you filmed this. Just after this he and his father played All the Things You Are, so I really hope you'll be putting that up soon as well cause it was a great version and there were lots of musical gems from both father and son. I'm looking forward to see all of the other Matteo Mancuso footage and video of other great players you captured that day as well. Great channel!

      Same, I am more moved by soulful melodic chords, riffs, and soloing. Such as: Andrew Latimer - Ice, Stationary Traveller, Snow Goose and Lady Fantasy.

      Matteo has a musicality his virtuoso peers lack. In general I go with less is more as well though. But he is truly astonishing, what he has achieved at such a young age is awesome. There's nothing much to this little jam here and it doesn't have to be, he's been fiddling around for days at the NAMM show. He lets his father steel the show :)

    Dang his Dad sounds killer here. I agree Matteo was overplaying, prob just nerves honestly. Kids got such a spotlight on him at the moment. He def has it within him to play deeper stuff

    I can't help but hearing a slight tuning issue between the two. I suspect it's perhaps an intonation issue on that orange guitar because it sounded more off when he played higher on the neck.
    Otherwise, lovely duo, of course.

      It amazes me how many people think that because the song has the word “Blues” in the title that they expect it to be in the blues genre. The Song is the classic Miles Davis JAZZ song “All Blues” from the iconic “Kind of Blue” album. Definitely NOT “Smooth Jazz” either. Pure Straight Ahead Jazz!
      Educate yourself - listen to Miles full album.

    Matteo is one of the most gifted players to have emerged in recent times, but not sure if this is the blues as most people know it to be - maybe a new term shreddy-jazz-blues would be more suitable!

      @@cohalensadventures5331 Thanks for clarifying. I just looked up, "All Blues" is the name of a Miles Davis song. From the post title, it appeared it is all blues (music) being played in the video, as Mattero plays many genres! But I just heard it and Miles's version is not this shreddy 🙂

      Check out his album “The Journey” . It features the band in the videos posted from this year’s NAMM show. I’ll be posting videos from last night’s show at Alva’s Showroom in San Pedro, California. His bands will be more in the vein of Jeff Beck, Allan Holdsworth, Weather Report, but those bands were immortal in their own right.

      Comments such as yours are always made by musicians that are too lazy to develop their chops, and have limited hearing abilities. If you listen closely to this young player, you’ll see that he is right in the pocket. Listen, faster!

      He’s just showing off his incredible chops at a music show to an audience who easily get bored hearing instruments twanging and banging all day. Before you comment in criticism of others on CZcams it is advisable to think about the situation and engage some understanding and relevance to what you are watching before actually typing ✊🙂

      He might have obviously felt some subconscious pressure to perform since this is right after his massive spike in visibility after the Rick beato interview. Obviously he was fairly obscure tho well known amongst fusion nerds until then. Stuff like that can change your approach to playing if it's something very improvisational like a namm jam. He's done plenty of these namm jams and they're all unrehearsed. Takes some balls to put ur improv on the line like that, esp that done at a busy trade show

      Frank is one of the most melodically inventive players of all time, he is basically a jazzer who can shred, so I would happily end up like Gambale.

    better is not to play everything at high speed and skill, the concepts of being better do not always go through the same filter, to be better you have to understand what each style is about, blues is not shred jazz fusion. From years of experience, it was a matter of time to see where this guy starts to have serious flaws. His forte is some badly applied classical guitar technique that works surprisingly well on electric guitar, plus his ability with language and phrasing and dexterity, but it all plays the same and gets boring after a while, his Holdsworth style sound lacks grit and he lacks punch in rock, a style that is also in his playing, I think he doesn't play some styles very well, blues is one of them.

    god these Bacci guitars look awful, and sound awful..been nice if they were tuned up and intonated before they were given to the Manucuso's to play...Yamaha's would have been in tune...
